rather than having each one locked and clogging up the forum just sticky one... for therapeutic reasons (of course). Considering the kind of season we are in the middle of my guess is this grows exponentially.

Knicks are just good enough to win some exciting games and just average enough to blow twice that.

My latest to flush is the backup PG is a total disaster. My god we are +2 with Marbury. We're a winning team with him on the floor. Without him? -17Yes... good job Moochie "B-team" indeed. Maybe when Marbury sits we should just hold the ball for 24 seconds, chuck it at the rim, send everyone of the offensive board, and if we get it repeat step A. Do this for 4-5 minute stretchs whithout Marbury and we can keep the opposition to a 6 or 8-0 run, rather than the 16-3 run they usually get.

Ugg... sound off friends

stuck with Mrs. Norris for the year sorry to say. There are good options for the backup PG in the draft however. We should by one of these late first rounders and see if we can steal a Jarred Jack or Nate Robinson. If that doesnt work just get Andre Barrett or someone that can actually push the ball. Too bad Frank is fat and isnt commited to playing in the NBA. I liked him

I'm gonna remain a little patient with Penny, but yes, he was just awful to watch the past couple of games.

I was really starting to like Moochie too, but he has really irritated me with certain plays. He does frequently hold the ball for way too long. I remember he had a wide open Allan and I think either KT or TT, but he took it to the lane instead, only to meet a triple team, and none of his teammates. That was when Ostertag was smothering him and blocked his shot. Lenny pulled him out very shorly after that.

What is Moochies real name? His Mom's name him "moochie"?

His airball last nite was pathetic!

I prefer to remember the game he played in Philadlphia! That migh have been the seasons highlight!

I liked him better witht the big Fro! He played better with it.

The Knicks suck!
Marbury can't lead a team out of the first round if they were up 3-0 in the series and had a 50 point handycap in game 4!
Houston is done, let him and his $20 million knees retire.
Crawford isn't that great. He will never learn a shot selection before he retires.
Ugh, I may have a stroke when Ariza turns out to be the next Tim Thomas. (2 for 1 there)
Kurt is great, it wouldn't be any fun if we didn't have the challenge of making up for his fouls and technicals.
Nazr can't play any defense and he's only decent on offense is because he's 1 foot away when he gets the ball!
Now that we have Sweetney, NY will go bankrupt, one all you can eat buffet at a time.
Moochie was only in the league because we were on a shortage of afros at the time.
Watching Vin play make ME want to have a drink.
Sundov is just like all the other European players, 7 feet tall, no defense, great shot...but lacks the shot.
Brewer...well I don't have a complaint about him, but I'm sure he sucks anyway!

This fit the mood of the thread? I would also like appologize for the Sweetney comment, among others. That was just low.

Our main problem is the SF spot. We are not getting anything from TT. No Defense. No Rebounding. No Scoring. No Nothing.

KT is OK. Which in itself is pretty bad but we should be able to live with it. I would like to move him for Nesterovic to get a true 7 footer that can play ball. This should shore up the shot blocking or at least intimidate other team from driving to the basket. I think San Antonio would go for this. We could probably get their 1st rounder if we throw in our 2nd rounder. A late 1st rounder is not that great due to guaranteed contract. Duncan with KT would be deadly.

We then move Nazr to PF.

Then I would trade TT to the Sixers for Big Dog. If they would only bite.

C-Nesterovic
PF-Nazr
SF-Big Dog
SG-Houston
PG-Marbury

Bench - Crawford, Sweetney, Ariza, JYD, Penny

Yup. I can live with that.

Looking at the comment on Marbury. A lot of people say that he isn't a winner. If u look at his career though. He has never been on a team longer than 3yrs. And every team he has went on was rebuilding at the time. In Min he asked to go. NJ they quite on him to early. PHO they got an offer they couldn't refuse that unloaded a ton of salary and allowed them to swap Marbury & Hardaway with Nash & Q. If he did stay with KG in Min he would have definatly went places. That was his mistake. Careful what u ask for. But he has never been on a team that was contending at that time. Swap him with Parker & Bibby Id bet he would have more success then either of them. Or put him on the Pacers along with Artest & O'neal and Id bet u they get to the finals if not win it. I wonder what he would do on the Pistons or Heat.

I do also wonder what he would do on the Bulls if they swapped Hinrich & Gordan for him. Marbury-Deng,Chandler,Curry that would probably be the ultimate test for him.

This is nothing against you Matt I know u were joking.

Great thread and Matt, great rants. Here's another one:

You know why Penny's shot sucks so bad? He still thinks he's just lobbing them up for Shaq.

Last night I was watching the game and was cursing the team in the 1st half. How could they come out so slow and lazy after the blowout loss to the Nets. With that being said, the 3rd quarter was the most exciting and energetic basketball I've seen the Knicks play this season in terms of everybody contributing.

JYD was doing everything as was Ariza. But Marbury, TT, even Houston for stretches when he was in were picking up people at midcourt and putting so much effort into defense. Ariza should get all the minutes behind Houston at 2 and TT at 3 -- the guy is growing into a monster. I love JYD's one man press and then he hustles down the court to pick up his man. But when I saw TT press along with JYD, I was so happy.

TT was getting his hands on a ton of balls and was really impressing me. He was crashing the boards, getting to the rim on offense, and playing strong, energetic defense. If he plays like that every night, I'd love him.

The problems I had with last night games were Lenny Wilkens and Moochie Norris. Moochie is just horrible. When he came in we were just dreadful. Brewer should be this teams backup pg -- at least he'll give us defense. But what is with Lenny bringing in Sundov in the first and second halves. Sundov single handedly gave up rebounds for easy putbacks and didn't play a lick of defense. He killed us but that's Lenny's fault. KT was in foul trouble and Sweets was hurt but keep JYD and Nazr in the damn game. We needed that game and Lenny didn't understand that. Penny was the other problem -- He flat out is horrible also but it looks like we addressed that problem today.

This Ariza lovefest has got to stop. The guy hasn't done anything yet except hustle. Darvin Ham hustles. Who knows, he may be the next Darvin Ham. Slow down with all the praise for this guy. He doesn't even shoot 40%, can't dribble, and is skinny as a rail. He is by no means a can't miss SF for years to come.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

you do realize that he does play good defense, he is very athletic, and is only 19 years old, right? oh, and a 2nd round pick...

yup. All the same, half the 1st round picks now are 19, 20, 21. So age is irrelevant to a degree. That he was a second round pick isn't going to matter either way in the long run. Darvin Ham plays good defense too.

I will gladly continue the love fest for Ariza. The kid is quickly becoming my favorite player.
He gives it his all on every play. He plays great defense (ok, maybe great is a little extreme at this point, but I'm a knick fan, my defensive sighting is impared) has shown several extremely athletic moves on the offensive end as well.
As it was mentioned, he is only 19. Imagine in 5 years, he will have learned more of the game and gotten those rookie mistakes out of his game, and hopefully have put on some more muscle. I keep seeing AK47 in him, but I am not ready to hold him to those standards quite yet.

Ah, my bad, wrong thread. Damn he sucks!
