Clippers forward Wilcox out indefinitely with leg injury

LOS ANGELES -- Clippers reserve forward Chris Wilcox will be sidelined indefinitely with a leg injury.

Wilcox was diagnosed Tuesday with a bone stress injury in his lower right leg. The condition characterized by a weakened area of the bone is caused by repetitive pounding and overuse.

He first felt soreness in the leg about 1½ weeks ago and received treatment, but the pain persisted. The injury will be reevaluated weekly by the team's medical staff.

Wilcox has averaged 10.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 23.5 minutes in 29 games this season.
