'JERRY WEST admitted that his team was in the VINCE CARTER sweepstakes a few weeks back, but that, "It didn't make sense for a lot of reasons. What they were asking us for was a heck of a lot more than what they got from New Jersey." Presumably, the Raptors were seeking PAU GASOL or STROMILE SWIFT plus a point guard, for starters.'

What happened that Toronto was willing to take what
NJ was offering? Why didn't they make it known that they
would accept less and let other teams in on the negotiations?
I just don't get it!

supposedly it was the picks... they're not even that good, though. sounds to me like they got cheap, would rather have a bad cheap team than a better, more expensive one. i feel sorry for the raptors fans, although carter wasn't going out of his way to make them happy in any case.

What you guys didn't see is the raptors had 3 road trips already and have tons of games at home coming up. Watch them move up in the eastern conf standings.

That team can play as is.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.
