Talking trade

The Pistons and Cleveland Cavaliers have had trade discussions over the past few days. The Cavaliers are shopping oft-injured guard Dajuan Wagner. They offered the Pistons Wagner and center DeSegana Diop for Elden Campbell.

The Pistons rejected that offer.

Apparently, the Pistons have some interest in Cavaliers shooting guard Sasha Pavlovic. No deal is imminent. The Pistons are hesitant to trade Campbell, especially since they are likely to face Shaquille O'Neal and the Miami Heat in the playoffs.

Someone should take a chance on Dajuan Wagner. It looks like the Cavs have definitely given up on him. Detroit is not the answer, he would never work with Larry Brown, and is too similar to Billups if he ever develops to where he could.
Our Knicks already have a glut of shooting pg's in Marbury and Crawford, so we aren't the place either. But somewhere.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

why doesn't DEN inquire about Wagner is what i'd like to know...they are in desperate need for a SG.

Maybe they have and nothing was news worthy. Ever notice how the only deals the media seem to know about are the ones that don't happen. A large percentage of the ones that DO happen came as a total surprise to them. I'm sure teams talk about swaps daily.

DEN has many chips that would probably interest the Cavs though...i don't see why a deal wouldn't have worked out there...it doesn't seem the Cavs are asking for that much in exchange for Wagner & Diop either.

vin or moochie for wagner + diop straight up

or kurt for wagner + diop + # 1 (it's basically for the # 1)

those are the only deals i make.

Another one who needs a point guard is Houston. Van Gundy was starting Charlie Ward last I looked. D Wagner isn't really a point though and not really Van Gundy the control freak's type.

if vin baker wa an ending contract, i would give dajuan a chance, other than that these are players you can try for free after the season. Give up KT, now that is insane! You have to remember this is a business and kt represents some reasonable stability. Is he the answer? NO, but we sure arent going to downgrade the position for those 2.

Find me a way to get Wilcox, and I will move KT for sure in any three way deal. problem is every team would want Wilcox. Hes cheap, 22 and has already had 30 point 10 rebound games.

briggs, my reasoning is the # 1 pick. not those two. yes, it's a step back, but you have to admit, to most teams, trading a #1 pick is ALOT more appealling than a 30 year old PF that plays with ankle weights on.

diop is nothing more than a prospect and wagner is a non-factor. if diop stinks, goodbye. wagner can get cut right away. whatever the case, a #1 pick for KT is a STEAL right now. don't you think?
