We already know minny wants KT for Wally so here is my 3 team trade that makes alot of sense.

NY trades:
KT & Vinny B to Minnesota

Minnesota trades:
Wally Scerbiak to Philly

Philly trades:
Samuel Dalembert
Brian Skinner
Kevin Ollie

to the knicks.

Philly trades a young big man prospect and 2 bad contracts, for a bonafied shooter in this league which is what they are looking for.

Minny trades Wally for KT and Vinny B and we already know they want KT for Wally it was discussed in the paper.

Knicks Trade
KT & Vinny B and get Samuel Dalembert and 2 bad contracts. We can make up for those contracts by letting the expiring ones fall off the books next year (fat chance) or try to throw in one with a trade next year for one of our expiring contracts.

It works in the trade checker and it makes sense for each team.
Everybody wins somebody call Isiah!!!!

this couldve worked a few monthes ago. but now its too late. spree is done and they almost totally rely on wally for point production outside of kg. they can't afford to trade him without getting a shooter back. I called this trade ages ago (i substituted genn robb for the bad c's but its all the same). wouldve been good for all but too late now.

hindsight is a wonderful thing.

I still don't see why Philly does this. I haven't heard anything about them looking for a shooter, especially with Korver around.

Trading Kurt Thomas is a must. I know that fans in N.Y. are in-love with this dude, why? I don't know. He is having a pretty good season, but that pretty good season is also a smoke screen. We have lost many games because of his presence on the court. When he has going, he can be pretty good, but his lack of athletic ability will continue to hurt us until he is moved to another team. Sweetney is my man at the PF position, but we need either a better backup a la Wilcox or a PF/C to help Sweetney and Nazr. As far as I am concerned, if Lenny is not going to play Vinny, there is really no reason to keep him around. If we can include him in a trade, let's do so.

Kurt, Penny, and Vinny can bring us a Center/PF

my biggest concern is that the Knicks will be happy being 2 games over .500 and leading the atlantic conference and therefore will continue being a mediocre team

We just need that one player that can push us over the top. What we have in our starting lineup right now will not do it. Kurt will have many off nights. For the Knicks to be successful, they will have to get consistant scorring from TT, Houston, and Marburry. If Kurt is not scorring, he needs to at least provide some rebounding. None of that happened versus the Nets....

why would the timberwolves want KT if Eddie Griffin has developed into such a big player for them? He's averaging 10 & 6 off the bench.

You know the one team I bet you could trade KT to? Houston. Jeff would probably love getting KT.

the only problem is that HOU has no player that the Knicks would really want other than their 2 superstars...Jon Barry is the only other player on that team that i think could help the Knicks right now because he plays good defense, makes smart, veteran decisions, & can shoot the ball, but we already have a glut of G's as it is...& if Isiah's going to trade KT, it's going to be for a player that is younger & more athletic w/bigger upside.

Griffin always has a good run then cools off after a week or two. He has now cooled off considerably

Killa,

Just because no one else has said this ... Great trade. If only the other guys'll do it. KT & trash for Dalembert & trash is no brainer for us (and I'm a KT defender). Work the phones. Sell Philly and Minnie on this.

One trade that I would like to happen is a Nesterovic for KT straight up trade. KT would flourish in San Antonio along side Duncan. Nesterovic just seems out of place in San Antonio. Maybe get a 2nd rounder to go with Nesterovic for KT. We then move Nazr to PF. We get the much needed shot blocker and move Nazr to his more natural position.

C-Nesterovic
PF-Nazr
SF-TT
SG-Houston
PG-Marbury

I wouldn't mind that as our last option is we can't get a more athletic/low post PF/C for Kurt

KT is worth more than just Rasho imho...you'd have to get back their 1st round pick at least to make that deal worthwhile...otherwise, don't bother...it's not like Nesterovic is a dominant shotblocker anyway.

I dont like this trade at all. We need a PF/C or anyone to play post D or O. What this trade does it take a PF/C who is very efficient and bring us a SG/SF that we dont need right now. We need a PF/C until we are stuck with Allan houston.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.

We could probably get a 1st rounder from San Antonio for this trade. They have a pretty low first rounder (maybe 28th pick) which is a guaranteed contract. They might want our 2nd rounder though.

nope, i don't do it then...Rasho & a #28 pick for a double double player in KT & a mid 2nd round pick isn't worth it for me.

IMHO, if we're going to trade KT, it needs to be for a C like Curry, Kwame, Dalembert, Nene or someone like that...i would be perfectly willing to throw in cash & future picks to get a deal like that done...not waste KT to get an above average-mediocre C like Nesterovic that isn't a real intimidator either.
