BTW, guys there is a simulation bball league that I'm in that needs more GM's before we can start our draft. For those that really want to see how good they would be as a GM, this is a very good test. Being a GM in this league is very similar to being a GM in the NBA. There is a salary cap, you have draft picks, players can get injured, and you have to act according to the CBA. Plus, games are actually simulated, its not based on the stats your players put up in real life. So chemistry actually plays an important part, this is not a fantasy league where you can just put a bunch of superstars together (like the Lakers did last season) and expect to win. You can even do 3-way trades (which are cool even though they are difficult to pan out). Anyway, I was in last season's league and I had a lot of fun. I like fantasy bball leagues, but this simulation league just blows it out of the water.
The league is run by Jazz (FU) from realgm.com for those that post there. From experience, I can tell you that he puts a lot of work into his simulation leagues and makes sure that it is as realistic as possible. When I say realistic, I mean very realistic, there is an all-star game, there is a dunking contest, there is a 3pt shootout, there are all-first and all-second league teams that your players can be a part of, etc. Keep in mind that if you join, you have to be active or else you will lose your team to someone else that is willing to take your place. Anyway, if you want to join come to this site...
