I watched the sixers-nuggets game on ESPN2 tonight and Dermarr was very impressive. 18 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 VERY important block on Allen Iverson late in the game. This guy is very athletic and can hit the 3, it's too bad he didn't put on some weight while he was here.

At the time we didn't have space for him I believe. No reason to have someone on the team who had no burn.

Did he put on any weight in Denver? nope

Zeke needs another guard that's long and athletic and he let demarr walk, don't mention it though Zeke can't do no wrong.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Yeah we could use him now but who would have assumed 3 SG's wouldn't be enough. He couldn't have known 2 out of the 3 would be hurt at the same time. We also have 3 pg's. ALthough I would rather have had him than Jamison brewer, but you never can really tell, and players always look better on the west where teams don't play d for the most part.

I think to Isiah he was looking at one roster spot for DerMarr or Ariza and he picked Ariza.

I don't think we really had room and unless Crawford or Penny are going on the IL for the rest of the season- what kind of minutes would he have gotten- it probably would have been unfair to him.

I loved DerMarr and thought he should have gotten more time last year- his big problem was defense and there is no doubt Ariza is a tons better defender...

I think Demarr had a chance during the summer league and didn't show nearly enough. Ariza outplayed him by a lot and that pretty much finished off Demarr.

I think Isiah was familiar with Brewer and must have liked his defense- from that perspective, Isiah is probably thinking he's got a bunch of players that don't play defense, needs as much d as he can get from role players

also- maybe isiah liked the idea of having brewer challange marbury in practice

brewer can at least compete with moochie for time at the point, whereas Demarr would get no time over allan, JC, ariza, jyd, TT.

just a numbers game. Ariza is really the guy that forced him out. You had Penny, Houston, Ariza, TT, Crawford... we were set at the wings, and needed backup PG so yes, Brewer made sense.

The real story is Isiah informed Demarr's agent to be patient.

At the time, Zeke was trying so hard to get rid of Shandon A. @t he time. If he would've fulfilled his wish, Demarr would still be a knick..
Unfortunately, isiah wasn 't able to unload Shandon at a timely manner.

Therefore, he lost Demarr J. to the Nuggets..

playa again you sound foolish, let me ask you, were the knicks supposed to keep Dermarr over ariza? well ariza outplayed him, so the answer is no, should we have eaten moochies contract, cut him and keep dermarr? well again is dermarr that good for us to eat that much money? H-NO!!

so may I ask you, how were we supposed to keep dermarr? and again, he has one good game, get real man..

I've gotta concur w/ TKF... DerMarr has been all about flashes of brilliance, nothing more, nothing less.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/players/3405/career

No doubt he has the potential to be an above average swingman in the NBA... will he ever get there? On one hand, he's still only 24... but
his numbers have never been truly outstanding on a per-minute basis. There's truly nothing outstanding about his game... he didn't come into the NBA polished in any aspect of his game (at least Ariza has the basic instincts down).

I'm not losing any sleep over DerMarr; I'm just happy that he's found a situation where he can contribute a little bit. If he gets really good, we could always sign him as a FA. :)
