Just wondering. I didn't watch him but his stats were nearly identical to what they are now, which raises the question of whether he's playing better now than then. I guess now he's putting up the #s on an above .500 team, though, and he's also shooting better.

2000-2001 with Atlanta

25.6 MPG, 12.3 PPG, 9 RPG, .82 BPG, 48% FG

This year

30.3 mpg, 12.5 PPG, 9.3 RPG, 1.2 BPG, 53% FG.

You can't rely too much on stats. My only point is that I surprised to find out that Nazy has played this well before. This is not 100% new from him.

What was the Hawks record in 2000-2001? I honestly don't remember if they were good or not.
Nazr has been playing even better this year though imo. With the Hawks perhaps it was just because he was free to put up phony big stats (see: Sura, Bob and numerous others).

Yeah, that's possible. I didn't watch the Hawks then; so I was curious what other people thought.

Bonn, where are you getting your numbers? According to CBS Sportsline, in 2000-20001 Nazr posted 7.6 ppg and 5.3 rpg.

Now he was traded that year from Philly to Atlanta so maybe your numbers were from his stretch with Atlanta only, but not what he produced for the year. He's never had a year in his career like he's having now.

The higher numbers were for the portion of the season that he played in Atlanta. I guess what it shows is that when he gets significant minutes, he plays better.
