pretty hard down low. Indiana had something like 60 points in the paint tonight.

I really do not understand NJ. You can say, all right I got VC for what amounts to scrub contracts+ 2 FRP who could turn out to be no one--, BUt they are tied into
3 max contracts-roughly 80% of payroll on 3 guys, 2 of which could be gimps at any given moment, they leave nothing for depth--they are asking their good players to play to many minutes and they left themselves naked with no money to spend upfront.
Paying Collins 6mm per was an absolute MORONIC move

I mean they had a business plan of rebuilding, really a sensible one once they got rid of Kmart. they had 5 #1 picks over 2 years and they couldve literally sold J kidd for nothing but ending contracts.

they couldve been big time players in FA and built a team through the draft and been competitive next year at the earliest. they shouldve bit the bullet

Good point Briggs, the nets traded away their whole front line for perimeter players, that is a no-no, but as you said, they have 3 max contracts, and two of them are gimps, but I thought the nets could of traded kid to a team like the mavs for another pick or Devin Harris, josh Howard, and Booth. That would have given them another pick to trade, Howard IMO would have been a better fit than carter. Different game than Jefferson, can play great D, rebounds great and can score, in other words a much more versatile player than vince. Booth would have given them size and allowed them to trade just one of those picks along with a front line player to fill in other needs.

I don't know what the nets are doing...

I remember in the preseason when the Nets couldn't stop Sweetney in the paint. I think he had like 12 free throw attempts in that game. He should matchup very well against the Nets' front line.

I still want someone to knock Jason Collins on his uncoordinated butt.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

You have to think business, when you rant about what they should have done.

If you give away JKidd , what would that do to the fan base that's already low.

Nets played against to premier rebounders last night in Foster and J Oneal.

Who on the knicks is a premier rebounder? Krstic is gonna be decent big man for the nets.

I think this game new years day is gonna shock a lot of you.

First off they could easily trade Kidd for frontcourt help. They could probably get Zach Randolph for Jason Kidd right now of course they would have to add a pick. They could probably get Kidd for Wilcox & Kaman for LAC.

Giving Jason Collins that contract is the only thing that hurts them right now. That 6mil could have been used on a Swift or Brown or Chandler or Curry or Dalembert or Big Z in the offseason.

Zach(i want to shoot) Randolph is not gonna bring fannies in the seats plz that's #1 on management's mind.

Because of Kidd, the nets fans have hope again with the addition of Carter.
