I'm biased but I think he's the best point guard in the league. When he plays like he did the past 2 games the guy is flat out unstoppable, and people say "oh but he doesnt make the players around him better" and i say thats BS. Look at KT and Mohammed, Marbury has clearly made these 2 guys better players, and look at Doleac before he got traded, Doleac played his best ball when Marbury was here cause Marbury got him open jumpers constantly, and he does the same for KT. Also Mohammed is always praising Marbury for getting him open looks and dunks.

Hey, I'm with ya man. If he keeps up this kind of intensity, he's tops. It's just all going to come down to D for me. He doesn't even have to be a good defender...just not a liability.

Marbury has to bring it every night to be number 1. I feel he can be number 1. However if you look at Wade he does not take nights off neither does Nash or Iverson.

Yeah Steph has everything it takes to be the best. I still feel like he doesn't have the selflessness of J. Kidd though. I am still uptight about last game when he went all the way to the hole instead of throwing the oop to TT or Ariza or whoever it was.

Maybe he has tried in practice and it hasn't worked out, but I wanted to see him pass it. I know I am nit picking here, but he is my favorite and I want him to do well, what the other great points do well too.

I think he could turn it up on his passes. Just being more creative on the pick and rolls and gettin the picker the ball when they're open. And just showing that ability to elevate all of the players on the squad. When Craw comes back I wanna see stpeh control him and get him his shots within the flo of the offense.

best 3 are marbury, nash and wade. I'm not sure which is better individually because a lot of it depends on the team you're on

This year? Nash is #1, Wade is #2, Marbury might be 3. Last year? Kidd, Baron Davis, Steve Francis, and Tony Parker all deserve consideration.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Again, Wade's not even playing point guard!

Among PGs, Nash, Marbury, and Francis are the top 3 this year in no particular order.

I think Marbury is 2nd as a PG in the NBA behind only Nash who is having the best year of his career.

Nash, Wade and Marbury are the three best point guards in the NBA. In what order, I have no idea.

the problem with Kidd is he can't shoot.

Nash right now is playing unbelievable ball- I would have to really give him the nod for the #1 ranking.

Francis' play has never struck me as being a true PG- the same for Iverson who is playing the point this year.

Gee, who is is there?

Bibby is a nice player as is Jason Williams. Chauncy Billups should get mentioned- but none are playing better as a PG than Marbury...

To Bonn, Wade is seeing more than a little point guard. His assists are 7.5 per game to 3.9 turnovers versus Damon Jones who is at 3.8: 1.0. It is true Damon Jones plays some point but Wade plays a lot of point guard so should be included in this coversation.

Marbury is the 2nd best PG in the league this year behind Nash. I don't consider Wade as a PG.

Wade plays about 25% of his minutes at PG and 75% at SG.

If you're gonna count him as a PG, you're gonna have to include most SGs in the league too.

I could not agree with you more. Man when is Marbury going to give the ball up on the break? TT had his hand up to throw a oops and Marbury never gave it up. To make things worse Nazr was ahead of everyone. This is the main reason why when TT is on the break he does not give the ball to Marbury because he will never see it again. If we did not win that would have been won of the most selfish games I have seen. I like Marbury but, after he gets his 8 assist he does not share the ball with anyone but Kurt Thomas. It looks like 5 out of his 8 assists come from Kurt a night.

not for nothing, but wally (i think it was him) wasn't giving him a passing lane. throwing up an alley-oop is risky so he decided to just take it to him, to either A. make the basket, B. draw a foul, or C. both.

he doesn't like throwing alley's b/c there were times this season when ariza and tim were pointing up but he didn't give it to them.

i would rank marbury 2nd but if you ask me which point would i like to have to build around marbury would be one. i think nash right now is #1 but he has some limits like creating his own shots effectively or taking over games. marbury can do that better than any point. he is one of the rare nba players that can consistently carry a team on his shoulders to win. nash needs everyone else. he is not a true go to man. francis is a close 3rd. he is having a fantastic season also. but i think marbury has better floor vision than him.
