Help us get Dalembert.

NY trades
Vinny B (expiring contract)
Craw

Philly trades
Samuel Dalembert
Kevin Ollie (bad contract)
Brian Skinner (bad contract)

Philly adds 18 ppg to their offensive punch plus an expiring contract. PLus who better to bring Craw along than AI? They would have the highest scoring guard duo in the league by far.

We trade in a young guard for a young center.

Who do u suggest will play at 2 guard? Where will the scoring come from when TT stops scoring again? U dont expect Marbury to score 31 a nite do you? Do u really think we can afford to give up Crawford's point and assists or someone that might turn out to be good?

Most good trades made str8 up are talent for talent. Craw is a better talent than Sam Dalembert. Also, Craw and AI dont compliment each other. They need a shooter not a slasher.

I wouldn't assume TT would just stop scoring. We have Allan, Penny, KT, Sweets, TT, JYD. We don't NEED his points we just proved that 3 games in a row. We are better all around without him Sammy makes us defensively better and better on the O glass.

could it be that we are better now because TT is playing better and actually playing defense. We were getting blown out in games and losing leads because TT was starting each half. Now even our starting lineup is playing D mostly because TT has stepped up. I think with Crawford off the bench and playing with that fast pace 2nd unit we're only getting better!

We are definitely better because of TT's play. He is the major difference. We need at least 10 points from him on a off night. He is a mismatch every night!!! We really need him to just play hard and let the chips fall where they may.

Okay we shouldn't lose Craw and get to bad contracts and I think philly probably doesn't want a player who is so similar to AI. I could be wrong though they could use another scorer in their team.

what would we do if houston or penny goes down again? This is the reason why we got him. If you need to be reminded why we have him look at the tapes from last seasons playoffs

I have two problems with Crawford's game - his shot selection and his poor defense. Both of those problems are things he can improve, but the question is will they improve. He's been in the league for four years now and his game hasn't changed very much.

my other trade makes much better sense this is not a go for us. We already overpaid with craw who is 18,3,3 a game for daly who is like 8 and 5. So no way. But my 3 way NY/Philly/Denver trade makes much more sense.

Right now, with the way Philly sees Dalembert, we could get him for so much cheaper. And even if that wasn't the case, you just dont trade Crawford. If we are playing good rightnow could be mainly what you've said: TT is playing better. But its no secrest that Crawford has to improve his shot selection, especially when the ball comes to his hands and never goes back to another teammate. My real hope here is that he is seeing how the Knicks are playing when they distribute the ball better and when he comes back he will work harder on that. Crawford is a young guard that can become a star if he keeps improving his game. Don't lose him.

Dalembert could be acquired another way, and if not, we'll see what we do to improve...

why are we so quick to get a center for, nazr has been fillin in for us admirably last night against minnesota he gave us 19 pts and 8 rebounds...plus we have a pretty strong frontline..and why the heck are we puttig crawford in these trades, this guy has been vital to our team, jus ause we're 3-0 without him doesnt mean we dont need him. I dont understand why your so quick to judge like that when crawford helped us win some games, and nazrs production helped as well.

I agree with you. Crawford has been very important to us and without him we could have a losing record right now. We may be 3-0 without him but thats another story: Marbs talk with Isiah, TT's comeback, KT's strong play. Crawford is really needed by this team.

Now, the need of a center is real. Nazr has done a GREAT job and he is one of the main reasons we are a winning team. But our goal is to be a championship contender in some seasons, and to be one of the elite teams we need a better defensive center. I would love to get the center we need and at the same time keep Nazr to be our PF or our rotation backup PF/C.

That was really the whole point of my trade idea to get bigger without losing a big. I like Nazzy, just because I propose a trade that gets us a big man doesn't mean we lose Nazzy. We could lose Kurt or JYD for a swingman. We could do the KT for Wally trade and then our starting lineup is.

Starbury/Moochie/Penny
Wally/Houston/Penny
TT/Ariza/Penny
Nazzy/Sweets/Skinner
Dalembert/JYD/Vin Baker

IMO this is a better team than what we have with craw and KT. Not that I think Wally is better than Craw, he just compliments our team better. A replacement for H20 who will probably never be the same again, sad as it is to say, but after his injury he can probably at best be a role player.

He was always at best a role player. His role was to shoot jumpshots because thats all he did.
