Just read about it http://www.theledger.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20041229/APS/412291004, JJ goes AWOL, he'd be a nice pickup and can give us a solid backup at the 2 - 3 spot.

If Jimmy Jackson is out there, Isiah please pick him up. I have been suggesting a trade for this due forever now. I like his court attitude and knowledge. He plays great defense and most of all can rock the big shots. He would do well with the second squad.

Crawf
Penny
JJ
Sweetney
Vinny or Nazr

If you want to get fancy, you can even throw in JYD at the Center position to grab rebounds along with Sweetney.

I'd like to do a Houston for JJ and Mashburn, but NO would have to give up more to make the salaries match. PJ Brown could be included but then we'd probably have to add Kurt. It's probably not worth shaking up the team that much just to get JJ.

JJ is certainly a player I wouldn't mind adding to our roster, but NO has no interest in trading him right now. I think in the end, he will do the right thing and report to the Hornets (though it might take some fines for him to finally do that).

At this point of their careers i would prefer jim jackson over houston anytime....dont get me wrong houston is clutch, but jackson can shoot, play defense and could run the court pretty well

I certainly wouldn't object to having JJ on this team.

I would love to have JJ on this team and I think he would be a valuable asset.

Penny could then be traded, Houston would need less minutes, etc...he would provide us with the ability to give up a SG for a Big Man if someone out there would pull the trigger on the right deal.

fellas, you get jim jackson as one of those last pieces for a championship run. you DO NOT get jim jackson if you're a .500 team.

there's no need for him. do you want him taking minutes away from trevor? of course not, so why bring him in?

I disagree there, bringin in JJ just makes our bench much better, we reduce Moochie's PT, let Crawford spend more time at the 1 and let JJ be the first option of the bench at 2 besides the fact he can cover for the three.

I have to agree with djsunyc JJ HAS BEEN ON HOW MANY TEAMS AND WHY?

HE PLAYS DEFENSE AND VG GOT RID OF HIM ? I PASS ON HIM.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

He has a great contract, which ends next season. He won't interfere with Ariza. He'd be replacing Allan Houston, who would take just as much time away from Ariza as JJ would. The only difference is JJ is better at every aspect of the game than Houston except shooting. JJ makes TT and Penny both tradeable next year and he'd probably be our best player at either the two or three right now. It's a nice talent upgrade with no loss. I don't think NO would do a deal involving him, though. I think they expect him to show up eventually
