Are the only 3 things that are stopping Ariza from being a future allstar. The guy knows how to play the game. He covers a lot of ground on defense. I put a lot of focus on him when he was in and he does a lot of little things even if he doesn't get the steal.

As for Sweetney. At the end of the game when the spread the floor and gave him 2 one on one opportunities he put up 2 very nice moves one just rimmed out and he got fouled on the other. He looked very very comfortable in that situation thats definalty the way he likes to play. He will eventually over time get all these moves to fall consistantly as all veterans do as the develop more and more and he will be deadly down low in those positions. I hope Lenny/Marbury realizes this can continues to give him the ball like that.

Now if Crawford could come back and play within the team the way Houston has the future is definatly looking bright.

definitely agree...Ariza has all the intangibles that you simply can't teach...he's got great basketball instincts...he just needs to work on the jumpshot & his ball handle.

i really like watching ariza on the court, and i was almost happy when crawford was going to be out since now ariza will finally get some real minutes and prove himself. maybe he'll be able to earn his way into the rotation or make him valuable enough to trade in order to upgrade the frontcourt.

Aziras instincts are incredible for only 25 games and limited action.
As are Sweets. These guys just know how to get the ball!

Tayshawn Prince is that kind of player. he does the most incredible things on the court that few players are able to do. The blocks, steals and putbacks this kid does are great. Timely rebounds on both ends are also intangable skills.

These two should be considerd untouchable.

I will be so relieved when we resign him to a longer contract.
He is quickly becoming one of my favorite players.

I agree, I was watching ariza guard Hedo turkoglu and he timed his move and dribble perfectly, stepped in and ripped him of the ball, and on another occassion, he followed his man through the lane on defense and then turned around anticipating a pass down low into the post and almost got the steal, I was like wow, good court awareness.... I think both he and sweetney should be untouchable as nalod preceeded with....

GEEEEEEZZZZZUUUUSSSSS KRISTY KREME!!!!!! I just don't understand the mindset that says we should even remotely consider trading Ariza or Sweetney to upgrade the front court. Sweetney and Ariza are front court players. You don't trade your most obviously promising young front court players for question marks. CRAP!. Kurt, yes...Sweetney, no. Tim, yes...Ariza, no. It's like swapping wheels for tires. You don't swap the brand new Pirelli's. You need both. The Knicks aren't winning a championship with Kurt or Tim in the starting lineup.....and once and for all, Isiah ain't trading Marbury, Crawford, Ariza or Sweetney....Period. SHEEESH!!

P.S. AND...Bird ain't gonna make a deal with Isiah....PERIOD...(and definitely not for Artest)

If I could make an NBA player out of the Knicks team.

Vision - Marbury
Heart - JYD
Hands - Sweetney
Build - JYD
Brain - Ariza
Handle - Marbury
Jumper - Houston
Feet - Marbury
With Crawfords athletism & Marbury's creativity.

i would use Crawford's handle instead of Marbury's...& mix in a generous helping of some of JYD's energy & hustle, along w/Marbury's strength & quickness, Ariza's leaping ability, Nazr's rebounding, Crawford's crossover & KT's crazy eyes.

While I understand your logic you do make a trade for a proven player like Elton Brand or a player with a greater upside like Eddy Curry. Since trades with both of those players are probably gonna be lopsided against us, it just isn't gonna make sense.

I really like Samuel Dalembert too. I would give up someone for him, probably Ariza and JYD. It makes sense to me, Dalembert is 6 11 and he would have an impact right now with something we have none of -shot blocking. It would make a difference for us. I would say trade for what we need. If TT can consistantly give us 14 points, we will be good with him. He may blossom this year we'll see.

From every trade I have tried to figure out, we probably should not make a move until next year. We wont be able to get Kwame for what is fair and washington doesn't have any big contracts for us to take.

Eddy Curry, last time they wanted Sweets and Nazzy and that is just too much.

They probably would want Zekes first born child for Elton Brand. And if TT continues to play well we may be able to pry Samuel Dalembert and bad contracts for TT. and someone.
