Let me begin this post by stating that Stephon Marbury is my favorite player and I almost cried when he got traded to the knicks. With that being said, I think it is fair to raise some questions about his leadership. As our best player and the general out on the floor, he has a responsibility to lead us emotionally, and through our offensive and defensive sets.

When I say leadership I mean:
How much he gets others involved and makes them better.
I think he definitely helped Nazzy improve his offensive numbers by driving in the whole and dishing it to him or missing the lay in and nazzy finishing it. I would like to see him do that more often than he has been recently.
How hard he plays offensively and defensively.
Offensively he plays hard and found a nice balance between gettin his shot off and getting others involved. Defensively he has not played as hard as he did last year when he first became a Knick. In fact, he has sucked on many nights allowing lesser opponents to put numbers up on him.
How he responds to adversity.
When the game is tight he has definitely responded, scoring, hitting clutch free throws or sweet dishes.
How he responds when a player is not playing well.
I saw him yell at lenny wilkens one game after TT had like a brick and a turnover and say take him the **** out!!! I dont know how many people saw that but I did. In my opinion that is piss poor leadership and is a sign of the imaturity that he has displayed with other teamates most notably KVH. He has got to stop that if we are going to become a great team. Do you see J. Kidd doing that? As the best player and leader, part of your job is to find a way to make your teammates perform. We will never go very far if he doesn't find a better and effective way of dealing with other teamates.
Leading by Example
If he brings a certain level of intensity to every game all of the players will be forced to bring that same level. Imagine if he played the whole game with half of the intensity of JYD. Our team would be a really good team right now. We have good pieces, but our leader needs to make sure that regardless of the coaching or the players weakness's he is helping us to get the most out of everyones talents and helping us to win every winnable game and make every game winnable.

I could sense that there is something wrong between TT and Marb.

He does seem to have confidence in his team mates. Passes it to TT in Dallas and passes it to Crawford in Atlanta when he had that awful shooting game.
He is maturing, and I expect to see him continue to.

he did exactly what we needed tonight against orlando. He stepped up and others followed suit. His play and TT's play are what made our offense easier tonight than it has ever been.
