Here's what they have to say on ESPN Rumor Central.

Knicks president Scott Layden and Mavs owner Mark Cuban stayed up late Wednesday night discussing a trade that would send Juwan Howard to the Knicks in return for Marcus Camby, Shandon Anderson and Charlie Ward. By late Wednesday night those talks had stalled, according to the Newark Star Ledger.

However, it appears that those talks are heating up again as the trade deadline nears, this time including the Nuggets. A high placed source inside the Nuggets confirmed to ESPN.com that the Nuggets are talking with the Mavs about a trade that would give Juwan Howard, Nick Van Exel and Raef LaFrentz new homes. In addition, the Mavs are still talking with the Knicks about a three way, including Denver, that would send Van Exel to New York and potentially Marcus Camby to Dallas.

Sources say that different variations of the deal exist and some don't include the Knicks at all, instead sending Van Exel, LaFrentz and Tariq Abdul Wahad to Dallas with Howard, Tim Hardaway and Donnell Harvey headed to Denver.

While the source stressed that nothing has been finalized and that the Nuggets are talking to other teams besides the Mavs and Knicks, the talks are serious and could give the Mavs, who would nab LaFrentz and possibly Camby, the big men they covet.

20 minutes left and the knicks aint doing anything. This sucks
I cant stand that the knicks havent done anything and won't do anything. Oh well, i guess its time to count down untill draft day and knowing the knicks they will screw that up big time, they wont get a high draft pick and they will end up with some undersized power foward they will cut in training camp.
please someone remind me why i should be a knicks fan!
it's horriable and the bulls lose dont help the pain
I should just cheer for the frigen Nets
Cursed no more!!! Knicks are back!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you don't hear anything at exactly 6pm don't get all uptight because it will take awhile for trades to be completed and announced. The best thing to do is to watch ESPNEWS because they will probably be one of the first to report deals. Right now the biggest deal on the table seems to be a Dallas/Denver deal, but it could also involve New York so keep your fingers crossed.

Or keep refreshing ESPN's web site :) (as we don't get ESPNEWS in Europe). Apparently there's meant to be a conference call at 6:30 EST, but I can't find out whether that's true or not.

Its not the worst thing if they dont make a move. I dont want them to make a move just for the sake of making one. I mean would you want them the trade spree for van exel striaght up.

People on other message boards are saying that CNNSI and MSG have reported the Knicks have a conference scheduled for 6:30p.m. This creates speculation that a deal may have happened so we'll have to wait and see.

ESPN just reported that Dallas and Denver just completed a deal and New York is not involved. Howard, Harvey, Hardaway, and a pick will go to Denver while Van Exel, LaFrentz, Abdul-Wahad, and Johnson go to Dallas. I personally think a package of Camby, Thomas, Jackson, and a draft pick is more attractive then what Denver got but obviously Denver didn't think so or Layden didn't offer anything of the sort. There's still a chance something might happen, but the chance is really slimming down.

In a second deadline deal Golden State is sending Marc Jackson to Minnesota in exchange for Dean Garrett and a future second round pick. Wow! We could have put together a better package than that. That is pathetic!
