look at our record. If we take into consideration the team we had post marbury trade, we are actually worse. You would think that with Crawford, playing the same line up 26 games and adding ariza, and adding Allan back, wed be better than .500. Perhaps there was something to a watered down east last year when we made that run?

NY has bad if not lazy individual defenders, with the exceptions of Ariza and JYD ... Everything else, stat-wise is the same as last year except slightly improved steals, and turnovers.

Yet Sweetney often finds himself on the bench for entire games. I don't believe that Lenny is getting the most out of this team's talent.

First of all, I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas eve.

Secondly, I just don't think we have the right mix of players yet, and some of the ones we have, just aren't ready yet. Sweetney and Trevor still haven't come close to budding. Crawford hasn't learned to play quite yet. NOBODY on the team plays defense 100% of the time, besides JYD and Ariza. It helps that we have Houston back, but he still hasn't quite gotton his legs under him, and he hasn't gotton back the scorers instinct, quite yet. I think the expectations for him just went through the rook, with Crawford down. Time for him to be more aggresive.

We are streaky as hell on the offensive end and just bad on the defense. We will continue to be like that year round. If Dalembert isn't even on Zekes radar, I will put Zeke a step closer to LayDog, but I still have faith in Zeke. I just don't think he has to always go for these big name players. At this point. Dalembert is my top priority, but if Zeke goes for Kwame,I would also be happy.

How does a player bud if he isn't allowed to play. Every time Sweetney plays well he gets taken out Celtic game 9 minutes. Please don't say that he has arrived or isn't budding. Because he isn't getting consistent minutes to develop a flow with the team. As for Ariza he is 19 years old and I can say that he isn't nearly ready as Sweetney to take on big minutes but in spurt he is very valuable especially on the defensive side. This is Lenny's doing the old senile coot won't give Sweetney the reighns which is very frustrating because he is stunting his development as a player.

I am not too worried.

One step backward, 2 forward. The 2 forward part will probably not manifest itself until the playoffs this year, if then.

TT has sucked, and no one really saw that coming.

The young guys are getting minutes that they really don't deserve: Ariza in general, and Sweets in part.

Houston has still been slow to return.

Marb has changed his game.

Crawford, who would probably get a quicker hook on a vetran team, is getting valueable starting mintues.

Nazr is better than expected on the O end, but still sucking on D.

KT will continue to get starter minutes, if only to keep his trade value on level to get something in return.

Martin - we have been saying the same thing about KT for 3 seasons now, and while I dont doubt that trading him is always a possibility - it hasnt happened yet and you have to wonder what is it they are waiting for? Its not like KT is gonna bring us Shaq.

As far as Crawford, he seems to be the same player he was in Chicago - way too inconsistent. I think he is a fun player to watch but he has single handedly lost us several games this season.

TT, what can I say - I thought he would at least bring us 14 and 8 every night but he has been terrible. What gives? He used to be a much better player. I guess he feels like he has nothing to play for so why bother? What a downer.

H20 will be back its just gonna take some time.

We had a tougher schedule this year and a much worse TT. Crawford has gifted abilities but also hurts the team in certain areas. It doesn't surprise me that he's having a modest net impact. He's a long-term investment. He's the kind of talented young player worth investing in in the long-term. He's not the immediate impact player that Stephon is. It's nothing to complain about. I'm happy he's on the team in the long-term.

Crawford doesn't play D- but then neither did houston and Crawford does get steals.

And I think this team is a bit like the isle of misfit toys- its just kinda strapped together with some duct tape- this team still hasn't come together yet.

that its better than last year is not a quantitative judgement, but a qualitative judgement- you see the potential that wasn't there last year
