he had his toe stepped on by jiri welsch, i read that last night, couldve been broke-having mri today... well look at good teams, they have injuries all the time, part of the game. were fortunate to have h20 as a reserve-most teams dont have that. no excuses!

Actually, I think this isn't horrible. Now we must go with stef and houston in the backcourt, and they will get more used to each other. IMO Crawford *should* be the 1/2 backup - a role he could have after he returns from his injury.

we have penny and brewer. brewer can play some tough D and penny is a solid back up. were lucky that we have such great depth. just think we have two max players who are SG back ups. I think its safe to say we are the only team in the league with that depth

Turf toe? I thought that was just a football injury......

Well now we are gonna have a controversy on our hands when he comes back. Houston will start and he's most likely gonna play well.....Craw won't be able to reclaim his spot.

Geez this sucks.....

At least trading Craw is now out of the question thank heavens.

Penny and Craw is out? I guess Ariza will finally get more burn.

horrible news but I think it's high time Houston proves to all he can still do the things he did before his injury.

this sucks, not only was jamal a big scorer for us, but a major ball handler, lets see who people are going to place the blame on now for loses.. Stephon, better put on the bullet proof vest...

I hope it is no more than 3 weeks, Houston is just not ready yet, and I don't want to see Brewer or moochie on the floor longer than they have to be...

HEy Injuries are part of the game.. Just like a couple of people had already said from this thread, Houston now will start @ the 2 so he needs to step it up..

We finally get to see what we weren't able to witness last season = H20 and Starbury in the backcourt..

I rather this happen now then towards the end of the season and we're lucky we didn't hear he broke his foot..
The Future. GO KNICKS!

houston and ariza at the two, jyd spending more time on the court at the 3...

ariza gets a little development, houston gets some more minutes, steph will play a bit at the two, mooch gets some burn and brewer gets burn.

good timing... these guys will have until the all-star break to up their trade value for a trade.

turf toe is tough, no telling how long it can linger. but besides that, we cant use this as an excuse. i take washington for example--they played the first 8 weeks without kwame[who is still hurt] etan thomas steve blake and they are 14-10 with less than HALF of our payroll.

I think it is time we used more force inside with Sweetney starting. This might not be a terrible thing--we take so many jumper as is--we need to reconstitute our shot selection as a team anyway. lets try to get many more shots closer to the basket. Jc was taking a lot of shots from just to deep. it leads to long rebounds and fast breaks, if you miss close in, atleast you have the chance to get back.

plus maybe we add Penny back who can handle the bigger SGs and Brewer is better on the D. when you have an injury, you just need to alter the battle plan and give other guys opportunities to step up. If this is truly a good team, its steps up --if it is not, atleast we know what we have.

ah, our first injury of the season. i just hope if we go in a funk, we don't use it as an excuse. every team goes through this. we lost dice two years ago and that team almost made the playoffs after an 0-8 start.

crawford has carried us offensively for stretches during many games this season, especially at home but i can't agree with briggs more - this is the perfect time to adjust our offensive philosophy, especially with h20 on the court now. he can work an AWESOME hi-low game with sweetney. in fact, h20 has been the only guy, on a consistant basis that actually looks to make an entry pass into the post. it's all those years with LJ and ewing that made it 2nd nature to him.
