We don't have the defense to match up 1/2 court against good teams.
We don't have the post-up guys to match up 1/2 court against good teams.
Our transition D is the best part of our defense.
Our depth is pretty good.
Our rebounding's not bad.

And yet we only push when there's an obvious break oppty. I don't get it.

Watching Boston last night, they got tons of easy looks just by virtue of pushing the ball. Looking at the successful small teams like Phoenix and Seattle, they do the same.

I trust Marbury's decision making on the break. He'll pull it out when there's noghting there. Guys just got to get it in their heads to take off once we get the ball.

Nothing pumps a team up like getting a few easy hoops just for running harder than their opponents (and nothing's as deflating as giving up those hoops.)

Knicks got to RUN.

It's hard to run off of made baskets....and we are not stopping teams from scoring.

This team doesn't run because Marbury isn't great at it. watching MArbury run a break makes me cringe because most of the time he makes poor decisions. He is a half court guard.

Boston was pushing after we scored. Plus, we do get around 25-30 defensive boards a game, I'd guess. It's just a matter of pushing every time. It builds rhythm. Doesn't mean every shot is a fast break shot, but it would result in fewer of those terrible possessions where we never do anything but dribble and wind up forcing a shot because clock's running down.
Why don't we run more?
