We already know what a stinker the Knicks gave their home crowd tonight against the Mavericks. You thought the Celtics game was the worst? The Knicks are always full of surprises. Now, we know that when the Knicks lose big at the Garden, Isiah does something to shake the Knicks'universe. What do you really expect Isiah to do?
Fire an assistant coach. Guess this time Lenny gets the message...
Trade a player. This will make them play harder...
Fire Lenny Wilkens. Its the coach's responsability when the whole team gives no effort and he has to go...
All of the above. Lets send a REAL message to the organization...
Nothing. A stinker is normal and acceptable. They are still in first place and I really like this team....
Other. Give Isiah your advice...

Other....changing the coach at this point does no good for this season...there isn't a good replacement out there. Wait it out and Lenny goes at the end of the season if the team still has games like this.

Enough with blaming the players. What we need is a dude with cojoles on the side lines. I am sorry, when you are in Lenny's dog house, he finds ways to keep you there. Whether or not it is hurting the team he doesn't care. This is a business after all. If he had the heart to use Anderson for all the minutes that he did, Vinny should not be treated like he is right now, especially when Kurt is struggling like he has. why didn't he use Nazr and vinny together on the court? were we winning? the job of a coach, is to try all sorts of combo when the team is down by thirty in the first half....I would have had Howard guarded by Ariza, Finley by a stronger defender, etc. we had nothing to lose, nothing...

IMO, this is the ONLY reason that I have to be against firing Lenny. Its not that Lenny is a good coach, is just that he has been our coach since the last part of the season. A change right now would mean a new style of coaching, new methods, and starting all over. Doing that during the season on a young and inconsistant team that is expecting to make the playoffs its too tough. Tonight's game was ugly in every way possible and it proved that Lenny can be soo terrible sometimes, but by firing him we hurt our team so much! I hate having this kind of games every once in a while, but if we are going to make better efforts the rest of the games, then the best is to keep Lenny.

This team definitely needs a different coach, but Lenny is the coach that started the season, and maybe, for the good of the team, he should finish it...

If I were president (), I'd hire a respected-defensive-minded head coach and not undermine him by taking over practices...

I would not mess with this team too much. You gotta let them play thru this crap. This is a collection of misfits and underachievers if they can't get thru this, its not because of the coaching, its the personalities. This is Isiahs team, and messing too much will create greater havoc. If it does not work , so be it,

Let it ride! All Ball!

I'm sorry, but u can't expect these Knicks to have so much passion if their coach has none himself. We need 2 leaders.... the coach a player. I remember Riley and Van Gundy yelling at the knicks when they messed up. You can hear them while watching the game on t.v. You won't see Lenny do that, and it's sickening. Our players are good. But every once in a while guys are gonna laps. That's when the coach should show how valuable he is. The coach should get on em' and smack em' around like "who's ya daddy". Lenny doesn't have any All"balls" to do this. Marbury still needs someone to smack him around as does Crawford and Kurt and Tim Thomas. You think Riley would put up wit' the way they play? Shyt... they would be blockin' their faces from the spit comin' out of Riley's mouth. All I have to say is Good bye Lenny "the castrated" Wilkens.

its not lenny's style to yell and some guys are like that- Phil Jackson has never really been seen as an in your face yeller- and he's been successful.

that said, I have posted here that I think this group needs someone to get in there face- I don't know anymore.

This is not a defensive team like the ewing-oakley-starks knicks- its much more an outscore you team- but, we clearly don't currently have enough weapons.

I don't think you can fire the coach- they are after all 500 and in first place. Dallas is an awesome team- we haven't beaten good teams consistently- that might come as this team comes together and gets into a rhythm...
