I would just like to personally thank Chris Mullin for passing up on Nazr Mohammed and Kurt Thomas. You chose wisely with Adonle Foyle as your center for the future. It looks like he is putting up career best numbers. You are lucky to get a standup guy like Najara instead of Thomas and Nazr. Keep doing what you are doing. Merry Christmas.

From a Vescey article today.....YIKES

http://nypost.com/sports/36822.htm

...Tin Foyle — re-signed last summer for six years for an obscene $50 million, not the $42M that's been reported elsewhere.

Yeah it's worked out but everybody's admitting Nazr's been a big surprise. When we were making our move on Dampier Nazr was looking like anything but a starting center while Damps had just posted 12 ppg on 54% with 12 rpg and 2 bpg. And the size and strength at 6'11" 265. Assuming that he could hav duplicated those numbers here (and Nellie's holding him back in Dall), it would have been intersting to see him at C with Sweets and JYD at PF. ya never know. But in the meantime Nazr's sure emerged and IMO KT's having a great year for us.

Just shows you where Isiah brains are out he tried to move Thomas for Malik Rose, and wanted to get Dampier and sign him for a long term deal, and gave crawford 6 million more than he should have, he doesn't really care, he gave Baker 3.5 million for nothing, signed Bateer and Brewer, he just likes to add players'

Nominate the Worst GM in the NBA: Chris Mullin
Foyle: 50 Million
Fischer: 36 Million
Murphy: 50 Million

He wins hands down....

Worst Franchises ever: Golden State and LA Clippers tie

Clippers Moves:
Letting Players go without compensation
Lamar Odom
Quentin Richardson
Andre Miller
Kandi

Warriors:
Spree (Starks, Cummings, Mills)
Webber (Googs)
Arenas (Let go)
Jamison (Van Exel)

So we have a lot to be thankful for...Isiah not getting his wishes

I think the above is a little unfair. Zeke was thinking about KT for Rose but did pull out at the last second. How can you critisize him for that? Also, if it weren't for risk, we would have never seen the TT/Nazr move.

How do you get $6M too much for Craw?

Isiah was pursuing Damp for the mid-level, right? Even if it is for long term, you can always turn around and trade the player again.

Aquiring tradable assets - talent - is the same mode Jerry West is in. Some time you get gold - Narz - and sometimes you miss - Brian Cardinal, but you have got to risk it with the salary cap situation and roster that Isiah had.

I think the Clippers deserve a little more respect at this point. They paid Maggette and Simmons gets paid nada and is playing good in a QRich's place. Miller hasnt played well since Cle and the did give Brand the $$$. Odom was a mistake but I can understand passing on paying a guy $10mm a year with 3 drug suspensions and never having a healthy season.

They just have a different philosophy and it looks like this year it could show some nice results

And guess what. That #1 could have landed us David Harrison. Or Peter John Ramos.

Dampier is a very good post defender. And he probably would have better #s on NY than he does with Dallas. Dallas is a uptempo run run run type of team. Dampier is more of a halfcourt player.

Crawford has potential to be a star not a regular player but a star. When u feel comfortable with a player like that u pay the price. Crawford already won a couple games for us by himself. And im not just talking about the game winners.

Baker played well for us at the end of last season and will probably get more time and play well for us when he gets back in shape. Plus it was probably a move to make Crawfords agent happy.

The one move that Zeke didn't do that hurt us is the Frank Williams for Miles move. Miles would be perfect for us as a defensive stopper clean up type guy. But the development of Ariza could make up for it.

And Crawford already lost more than a handful of games with his blatent disregard for his teamates, defense, boxing out his man and stupid shots...

Just an aside Crawford always shoots the rock 2-4 seconds early, every buzzer beater he makes there are others when he pulls up from just inside half court instead of take two more dribbles and getting himself in position....

Also how are you going to say you give the clippers some credit, they let Richardson, Odom, Miller, Kandi, Derek Anderson, and Mo Taylor all go instead of making a smart deal and acquiring talent....

And as for Crawford you pay when you see star potential....ALLAN HOUSTON rule you don't bid against yourself...Otherwise Houston could have signed a contract for 65-70 million instead of a hundred, there was no market for Jammal Crawford.....

Where were the Hawks? Bobcats? Playing Dynamic and terrible almost on a consistent basis doesn't warrant any money thats why we were the only ones showing a great deal of interest......

And Thomas would have done that deal for Rose and screwed up again.....

And everyone is happy with what Naz is bringing, but i still don't think the deal was a winner....Naz has begun to play well and has improved but when so much energy is focused on the backcourt there is a reason why his stats improve....Tim Thomas sucks and is not even a top 15 player at his position he doesn't try and rebound and is a black hole....Van Horn is more tradeable anyway which is what Isiah is trying to do trade contracts for bad contracts....

Baker get in shape are you kidding me

Its December, training camp started in October, the bastard is always depressed, is always drinking and never commits to the people that commit to him and give him a life of luxury that he doesn't deserve...

As big of a fan as I am....That is why the NBA sucks...you have all these ghetto hood rats that don't stop and think to themselves that they wouldn't be able to get jobs because they read at a fourth grade level, that are unappreciative of the history of the game. they have their own agendas, none of which really include working, training, doing the necessary steps to improve

You get to entertain people, travel, eat for free and enjoy thousands of perks the normal person doesn't...Families work all week just so they can take their kids to games and for what. To see a bunch of bitches that don't play defense, box out hit the floor (Crawford never does...ever..disgrace)and have a true passion for winning

Ordinary fans take the games more serious than a lot of players...Shit heads like Vince Carter, Tim Thomas, players making more in a year than most Americans make in a lifetime...To laugh and dessert their teams, because they are unhappy....It is for this reason that contracts should be terminated if a player doesn't earn his keep show up on time, dress professionally, practice, train and do what it takes to give the fans the simple pleasure of trully enjoying themselves

The Pacers brawl summed up the entire NBA

While guys like Jerome Williams, not talented in a basketball sense appreciate what they have and give the fans the hustle they deserve, thats why its so rare that we see a Charles Oakley, a Larry Johnson out (so what if he could start a football team with his all his kids) there showing us what it was should to be. A team sport where everyone sacrifices for each other....

Every article that was written about this team was right on the money...they are middle of the road, on the playoff bubble, because they don't care the way they should.....do the little things and hustle and this team can reach its potential, and perhaps make noise but if they keep playing the same uninspired basketball we have seen so far we are not making out of the first round

I haven't seen islesfan around here lately. Did he change his name to MS? Anyone else notice that the two of them never both post on the same day!?
Thanks Chris Mullin
