This Wednesday marks the 1 year anniversary of Layden fired and Zeke hired, where was everyone when they heard the news?
I was sleeping, it was the day after my last final exam, my brother works at MSG and he said he had heard around the office something major was about to happen, then he calls me about a half hour later and says Layden fired and Isiah Thomas hired. At first I couldnt believe it but I WAS SO DAM EXCITED.
I wasn't born with enough middle fingers!!!

I was driving home from my last final exam my friend called my up (a legit die-hard Nets fan) and was yelling to turn on ESPN 1050. I turned it on and Layden had be fired. Made my Christmas. About 10 minutes later I rear-ended some guy and had a minor car accident, only becuase I was so excited about the firing and kept thinking about what Isiah would do.

I saw a headline online that said "Thomas named Knicks President" or something like that. I couldn't tell what it meant at first, i thought Kurt got named super-captain or something. When I actually read the article, i couldn't believe it. I felt bad to be so happy anyone got fired, but whatever. didn't see it coming at all.

I was signing onto UltimateKnicks.com and all I saw in bold letters: LAYDEN FIRED, ISIAH HIRED AS PRESIDENT OF KNICKS! And my mouth dropped. I thought it was some sort of sick joke, so I went to NBA.com and I was shocked to see that it was true.

Working. I usually turn on ESPNews for updates, and the news was posted in a box on the lower right hand corner of the screen. My reaction was: "FINALLY!"

I was playing a game named planetside when a friend called me to announce me that layden had been canned...

great great day... thought chaney would be the first to go.

Setting up a Christmas tree, I had turned on ESPNnews and immediately got online to find as much on it as I could.

I believe I was driving back to work from the post office when I heard it on the radio. 15 minutes later my cell phone started ringing and it did not stop for a while! All my friends called to congratulate me on being a knick fan. Good time to be a Knick fan. I barely got any work done that day.

i was at work on my prep during teaching. i went onto ultimate knicks like i usually do everyday and rant how much i can not stand layden when i saw someone post that layden was fired. i thought someoene was playing tricks like usual for people who are malcontent like we were last year but no. man, i tell you, i was so thrilled that i had extra recess for the students i taught that day.
