What is it going to take to get him going??? I am having problem watching this wonderful talent struggling on the court. He is being very hesitant at everything that he does, whether it is shooting, rebounding, and playing defense. Since he is still part of our squad, I do believe that I have the perfect remedy for his issues. As Lenny, I would make it imperative to have JYD and Tinny bump heads for a good 10 minutes before each game. JYD is a pest and for sure he can irritate the hell out of Tinny which could possibly wake him up. At this point, we need the offense that he can provide.

FUGAZY!

I say if you are going to start a TT thread, you start with the FUGAZY line.

Lots of people have watched TT a lot and more than one has concluded that this guys just doesn't like contact.

It's also like he is lollygagging it out there. We all know that his style is more slick than abrasive (in a JYD way), but this guy has to be more assertive: Go get the rebound in traffic; block out like you mean it; go around your man and dunk the ball hard in traffic; post up on the block and go hard to the rim.

It's strange, but TT has really turned his game into FUGAZY this year.

I am still hoping that TT will get it.

Houston's being

on the bench meant Tim Thomas got to play crunch-time minutes in a tight game in the fourth, as he got the assignment of guarding Harpring. Thomas did an effective job, as Harpring had just four points in the second half.

Wilkens, who had talked with Thomas after practice Saturday, was impressed with the 6-10 small forward, who had 12 points (5-of-11 shooting) and three steals in 32 minutes.

"He's starting to show some more consistency again," Wilkens said of Thomas. "I thought he came out at the beginning of the game and played real well. And I thought down the stretch he didn't hurt us. He got a big rebound; his defense was good. So, if he keeps doing those things, then all of a sudden we've got that guy that we thought we had earlier. So I was pleased. I thought he took a giant step back in the right direction."

Thing I can't tolerate about Timmy Genious is his lack of hustle. We know he's a "finesse" player -- SOFT -- He always has been. But that doesn't mean he has to play like like he doesn't care. He can still get back on D. He can still run the break.

What was the game when he jogged toward the hole ahead of the floor only to be caught up with so he didn't get his dunk? That's inexcusable. It's like styling when you think you've hit a home run and getting embarrased when it hits the wall and you're stuck on 1st. It should land your *** on the bench! Gives a coach a perfect opportunity to make a point to the player and the whole team about the right way to play the game.

It's particularly noticeable on the Knicks when Fugazy's backup is JYD ... the opposite player. No grace. Limited talent. Pure hustle and heart.

tim thomas - the embodyment of the wizard of oz - the tin man, the cowardly lion, etc...

fellas, he's a lost cause. no need for these tim posts anymore. accept the fact that he's doing nothing for us and let it go. concentrate on other things like ariza, jyd, or sweetney. or even start threads about mike malone and brendan suhr. let timmy die in peace...

As much as I would love too, I can't. He is part of our team until Isiah gets rid of him. Until then, his team-mates and coaches need to keep on slapping, scratching, and kicking him in the *** until he finally wakes up

Since all of the good deals are not favorable for Isiah to get done, maybe a swop of Bonzi Wells for Timmy can be done.

Here is a guy I wouldn't mind trading Timmy for: Bonzi Wells. This dude has a killer post-up game, and he is not too happy in Memphis. His game is a little similar to Paul Pierce when he gets decent minutes. If we trade TT and Kurt to Memphis, or TT and someone else for Tsakalidis, we would kill two birds with one stone. Jake is 7'2" but can't get no love because of Gasol and Pozey. What can we get out of Jake and Bozi, oh well, Bonzi is much better than TT at this point, plus Jake can perhaps become the Center that we need. Finess Center that can complement Nazr at the front-court.

That's good. He's not gonna be like that style-challenged JYD, going all out for just any old rebound - he knows to save it for the big one that's gonna get noticed!!

There was one play that I watched that seperates TT from Ariza & JYD. Someone was shooting a jumper I think it was KT. Marbury was under the basket looking to get an offensive rebound since thats where he passed KT the ball. But one of the bigs picked him up. TT had an open lane to the basket to look for a tip in or offensive rebound. The shot goes up and misses and TT was backing away heading for his spot in the corner by the 3 point line.

I really don't think its the fact that he is afraid of contract because he has made some strong moves to the basket this season. But I do believe he has no basketball instincts what so ever. Yes the play was probably set up for TT to go to the corner on the 3 point line. But if he had any basketball instincts he would have went straight to the rim and tried to make a play. Maybe its the fact that JYD & Ariza don't have 3point range which forces them to do so but since TT hasn't been consistant there anyway he needs to do the same.

TT is going to be the reason ultimately we end the season 5 games under .500 or ten games over it. It doesn't look good right now but maybe he can start getting a little more consistent and at least be the player he was last year when he joined the Knicks. Personally, I believe all his weight lifting and bulk have negatively affected his game. Forget the family issues.
We could be the Dallas Mavs of the East.

Frankly, I would love for Isiah to retain him until the end of the season. I know for sure that this dude has always performed better in the past at around the second half of the season, therefor, there is still hope that he will be a major impact. The only problem is that he doesn't do the little things very well. That is where our court leaders: Marb, Houston, Kurt need to step in and get this dude to do the right things. I have heard many times how Marburry will get on the phone to call Crawf and console him after a bad game, but I have yet to hear the same thing coming out of TT's camp. Marb has said some very nice thing about: Houston, Crawf, Kurt, Sweetn, Nazr, and JYD. Where is the love for TT????

What really surprises me is that he hasn't even been an underachiever this season. He has been just awful. Right now the underachiever that he was for us last season would have the Knicks with a better record. He was an underachiever before, why can't he at least be that again for us? TT could be a star if he wanted it, but the Knicks will be happy with at least a decent play...

I am going to keep bringing this thread up until TT has his brakeout game that we all expect out of him. I am hoping that tonight will be the night against Dallas, because N.Y. deserves to see the TT of last season; the one that was averaging 16/5 at least for that 12 million dollars contract that they are paying him. Let's hope that tonight is the night.
