I would say "in a heart beat", but I would first like to see if we could find a replacement bigman if we are going to lose Nazr.

gives them good depth with tim coming off the bench for stephen jackson and they get a nice serviceable big man in nazr. they move artest, which they always wanted to do and only give up harrison who is a project (solid but still needs to develop).

i think indiana may make this deal b/c this helps them now and they're a win now team.

this is clearly a move for next season and beyond.

actually, no I didn't, but is he really going to make up for Nazr, or does he just have the height.

i like harrison alot......he will be one of the next good centers. Dude is like Bob Lanier.

He'll be in Indiana for a while.

it doesn't take much to make up for Nazr right now..it's giving up Ariza that I'm more concerned about but We'll have Artest so we can't go wrong. It depends on how high the Pacers are on Ariza. He could really help them and he would play right away

Well, if he is as good as his numbers indicate, I would think of it as a no brainer.

i have no clue why the heat did'nt pick him up in the draft. they had a chance to pick him or jammer nelson, and they needed a point and a center at the time. can you say MORONS?

Considering that this deal would have to be done in the offseason because of Artest's good behavior, the best we could hope for this deal to happen or have any chance is that TT has a great second half of the season and a good playoff performance. If he does that, this and many other deals involving TT could get done, making our job of becoming a contender more possible. I wonder if the Pacers would give up Harrison considering how important bigs with talent are in these days.

Now, the question would be: Has Artest learned his lesson and besome a more responsable player in the future? Right now TT is better than Artest only because he can play, so...

knicksfan - that's the gamble. this trade is to be made right now. since they don't have artest, this gives them some players they can use for a championship run. we clearly take a step back this season but get a nice big prospect and gamble on artest.
