they are getting zo for nothing and it appeasr very likely that they will also get jalen rose and donyell marshall for eddie jones a pick and crp.

so they are getting maarshall Mourning and rose for what amounts to eddie jones.

EEK, Miami will be looking very dangerous...but so did the Lakers last year. I'm not ready to give them anything yet.

Wow! Well, lets first have both deals done to hand them the trophy. And more, there are other teams out there good enough to win too so we'll see. If both things happen they will sure look more as a deep team than only the duo of Shaq and Wade.

Still, wait 'till NY makes their move for a young defensive big center! Then we will have the Champs!

#1 That would make Riley GM of the year.

#2 That would make the heat one of the scariest teams ever assembled.

#3 Do you put Shaq and Zo on the floor at the same time or do you rotate them so they both get rest?

#4 That would gurantee that unless Isiah got a Big for us, this team would be stock in the land of mediocrity - but he needs to get us a Big regardless.

Well, why not, we arent winnin anything withign the next 2 years, of the Heat win, congratulations to them. Don't really care who wins if its not us.

Besides, Alonzo will be a capable backup for both Shaq and Haslem, no sense to play him starters minutes and kill his body like the Nets just did and make him go in IR.

As for Rose and Marshall, those are probably the better pickups. I guess they'll play Wade, Rose, Marshall, Haslem and Shaq for starters and bing Damon Jones, Mourning, Rasual Butler and whoever of the bench.

I like that team a lot. But it will have to face equally if not better teams from the West.

A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

we jsut have to keep winning. take the atlantic and we'll have the much easier matchups come playoff time.

yeah if they can complete everything, they will have something the lakers didnt have--higher quality depth. i think the lakers wouldve wont it last year if malone wasnt injured. they just didnt have enough after he went down with all of those big pistons

have to agree with briggs that the Heat will make the Finals this year. probably against the Spurs. It will finally be a great Finals matchup, probably the best since Jordan/Jazz.

Also, isn't it funny how the Heat were able to rebuild ENTIRELY in less than a year? Sigh. Miami never would have been able to do ANY of this (except the Wade part) if it hadn't been that point guard forgetting to exercise his option, giving the Heat enough cap room to sign Lamar Odom, who was the key piece in the Shaq trade.

Yes they are rebuilt, but how well and for how long? Their bench is paper thin (without Zo so far) and they are weak in at least one startin spot.
