the nets are going to beat our sorry asses again

the nets used to beat us because of Kenyon Martin schooling KT. Martin is better than Carter all around. I don't see how this makes them better than last year especially since they lost E-Will and a-train

I guess the picks are what did it and saying money. It's kinda like the Marbury trade. Where the Knicks gave up trash for a great player. Vince is a quick fix and will really come back to hunt NJ. bwahahahahaha

Nets are easily better then the Knicks. We can kiss that playoff spot we do not deserve anyways goodbye. I hate these Knicks.

This blows for the Knicks. No two ways about it... regardless with what many of you might think.

IMHO we are in trouble, Vc is gonna cause havoc with jefferson and kidd.

C'mon now fellas. Surely you can't think Carter is that good? We're still gonna F those punks up and re-establish metropolitan dominance. I ain't scared of the NETS. We ain't championship material yet, but I don't fear the NETS.

Seriously, Nets are not very threatening. If you fear for the division, fear Boston, fear Philly. The Nets now have probably the best 1, 2, and 3 combination in the league (Phoenix a distant second), but who do they have in the paint. Kristic? He has a few years before he is intimidating.
The Net's lack any depth, except maybe at PG, Best and Vaughn have played well for them.
How many games do you think VC will really play for them. I'm saying he'll miss atleast 10 more. Nets should move out of the league cellar, and fight for an 8 seed, but that's about it.

What I don't understand from Toronto's perspective, is that they had a deal on the talble for TT and penny, that would of saved them 50 mil or so, over the long run, and freed up cap room when rookies like lebron, melo, amare, become free agents... Kind of crazy I thought.. but anyway, this does make the nets intersting, but does vince really fit on the nets, vince does not play D, and is used to getting his own shots, I really wonder if vince still has some "play" in his bones left.. IT didnt' want to trade crawford, or Houston, and BTW Houston hit the big 3 tonight... I rather keep the team we have now, vince was not making us a championship contender, crawford in a few years... who knows, but he has the upside to be that kind of player, we already know vince is not that guy..

As far as the nets go, their front line, defensively will be the worst in the league... book it..

i actually said to myself, "good. no more carter trade rumors". but now i'm realizing it's going to take another couple of days. the nets can redirect him within the next 48hrs if i'm not mistaken.

please, would somebody please make this all be over soon.

only positive that will hopefully come out of this trade is for zo to finally retire and quit putting his life and his family's welfare at risk.

In order for the Nets to afford a quality team they would have to put fans in the seats and sell tickets. Vince Carter-Kidd & Jefferson would put on enough of a show to do so. Down the road losing those picks will hurt but Carter is in his prime age wise. And if they can start selling tickets they might be able to afford signing a big man with the mid level since there will be a ton of them available this offseason.

Yea cause losing a Center with Kidney problems,Bad contract, distraction to the team and who is out with 3 different injury's cause he can't take any pain medication because of his kidney.....A PF who is out of the rotation and doesn't play anymore....And a decent SF who plays defense....And 2 mid first round picks is alot?

Get real. Some of you guys act like if the trade didn't go down Nets would have alot of frontcourt guys. Mourning and A-Train don't play. So it's really Eric Williams and 2 Mid 1st Round picks for Vince Carter. It's a no brainer.

Nets biggest problem was lack of Scoring. With Carter they just got better. Plus remember that Kidd will get Carter the ball where he needs it and when he needs it , only making Carter a better player.

Toronto got just what they needed and what the knicks need...INTERIOR DEFENSE!

Raptors team has scorers, but the team front court players are thin in size. What they did was pick up front court players(with some beef) who has been to war before who will be ready to rumble come playoff time. With two potential centers in ZO and A.Williams, now Bosh can do his thing and have a big physical presence along side of him to help him out.

As for VC in Jersey, they now have a guy who can take flight with Jason Kidd and R Jefferson who's gonna stop their fast break?

Rebounders will be Collins and Scalabrine of course RJ can board with the best of them at SF.

Sorry but VC can play defense he can shut down an explosive scorer on oppossing team at crunch time with his athleticism.
