Honestly what are those picks going to get them....the clippers are top 14 protected, and then they have the sixers picks, two middle first rounders

Maybe they are making a trade to make another....Kidd wants out sure thats all well and good...You put Kidd with Carter and you have something very special look at how much better RJ and KMART were because of Jason Kidd, who made those two worth more than they are....

Someone is always going to be interested in Kidd, and he can be traded at any moment....Bill Simmions brought up a great trade for NJ, of Jaric, Wilcox, and Kittles for Kidd...and then they could try with the picks....

But what if Eddie Griffin decides he wants to be close to home again...

Kidd
Carter
RJ
Griffin
Collins

Thats damn good in the East, and big deal it only took a year

This deal makes the nets a scary team to play. If they would have put out the cash for K-Mart they would be in the Finals for sure.

Wow if this deal goes down I will be happy when the Nets move to brooklyn. They are moving a couple blocks from where i live and then i will get to see kidd to carter ally oops all year long. Plus get to see my fav team the Knicks play a couple times a year.

LOL! This move might save the Raptors money but it doesn't make them better

Vince wanted to get out of Toronto, but I don't know if the swamp land is what he had in mind. He's on a much better team now. As long as everyone stays healthy, they're very solid 1-3.

now would be a good time to get donyell marshall from TO since they seem to be rebuilding. not sure if they want to part with alston but a donyell+alston for TT+moochie or vinny+cash and pix would be nice.

im sorry but i think nj shouldve tried to rebuild. i think they went half way, and got scared by the attendance[of course] and now are trying to back track. it sounds all good and merry, but you dont win with out big guys. they are basing their franchise on two heavily paid gimps. they gave collins 6mm a year?????? when hes worth 2 mm-3mm TOPS i think nj has made so many bad moves in a row, they are going to drive the franchise into oblivion for years.

they better have multiple medical evals--- and the right to turn it down if they see one scinitla of something wrong.

I'm w/ Briggs. Now the Nets are playing for a playoff spot when they should be playing for a lottery invitation. They'll be doing extremely well to get out of the first round now ... and the team will get worse next year.

On the other hand, a mid to high lottery pick plus 2 other 1st round picks would have given them a chance at being a contender in 3 years ... and they would have been heading to Brooklyn w/ a lot of buzz.

When will they learn to stop taking JKidd's advice on player movement. May be the best PG in the NBA, but he's up their w/ Layme competing for worst GM honors.

... being a Knicks fan, this deal would suck big time!!

Kidd, Carter and Jefferson would indeed be tough to guard.

I hope it doesn't go down.

... something tells me you're going to eat those words. The "soft bum" as you put it, will probably stick it to us many times a year. It also changes the dynamics of our division. To me, Thorn pulled off a coup. Gave up practically nothing for a superstar in his prime.

This blows for the Knicks. No two ways about it... regardless with what many of you might think.

This was a very good move on the Nets part. I think you guys don't understand the Nets philosophy. They are willing to do something the Knicks aren't willing to do with Sweetney and thats make a commitment to Nenad Kristic at the PF position. This deal clears both Williams out of the way so they can give Kristic more run.

Their lineup is big.

Jefferson sf 6'7''
Nenad Kristic 7'
Collins 7'
Carter 6'6''
Kidd 6'4

I don't know about you guys but I think they won't have much problems rebounding.
