There have been many rumors about this trade, However I don't feel losing Nazr and JYD is good idea. If we lose Nazr who is going to be our center?

here is what i think.............everyone talks about vince getting back to his 25, 5 and 5 play. well as dissapointed in jamal's shot selection (chucking)as i am, i have to say he is putting up 20 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds. with some better shot selection and some more focus, he could be a 25, 5 and 5 guy.

i think the reason people go oohh and aahh over vince is simply because of the dunk contest and the dunk in the olympics. he's a top notch player in perfect health. hes not a lockdown defender, jamal could be just as good as vince a couple years ago.........so..........is he worth giving up nazr, no. is he worth giving up jyd, not on this team, we ne all the help on D we can get. is he worth giving up houston (as a player) no, (as a contract) yes.

and people seem to be forgeting the fact that you only get vince if you take rose.

i would have to give the whole vince to ny thing a big fat thumbs down.

hell no its nor worth it. we should wait till off season if they are not biting yet then the penny timmy package will be that much more attractive. we have no need to rush this trade and overpay.

Are we still taking Rose back in this hypothetical discussion?

Either way, replacing TT with Vince is a HUGE upgrade. We need a center if we lose Nazy. I think a Vince and Loren Woods SF/C combo is better than a TT/Nazy combo, though.

It seems as soon as Nazr and Kurt really start playing well together they want to trade Nazr.

You gotta be kidding here. Yeah TT has been playing like toilet food, but still I can live with him if we have a C like Nazr. I can't say the same about having Vince with a player like Woods...

I know Vince is right now better than TT- heck even Penny in the injured list is better than TT right now- so its no contest. But a C is soo important that you can't say that dealing Nazr and getting Woods is an upgrade...

WOw. I would do this in a second if all we were giving up was TT and Nazr. VC still has it. there's no reason he shouldn't. We can get him going again. Whereas TT has never really had it. Nazr is good, but no superstar. ALways go for quality over quantity. You have to pull the trigger if you're IT.

Nobody said dealing Nazy and getting Woods is an upgrade. I said replacing Nazy and TT with Woods and Vince is an upgrade. You somehow left out two-fourths of the trade. We're all biased Knick fans. I wonder if you took a poll around the league what percent would say they'd rather have TT and Nazy than Vince and Woods

This deal would never even be on the table. No GM would turn it down from a Knicks' perspective

No way. Loren Woods STINKS. Nazr has shown to be a very solid piece of the pie. And while TT has been bad, you dont downgrade a frontcourt position so radically for another player--who lets face it is a shell of what he was, a poor defender and a BAD shot shooter.
I would never do TT and Nazr for VC and Woods.
Its funny that some of these people who thought TT was going to be a 20 point scorer and the man on this team, now value him as crud. yeah hes been bad, but hes played a little better recently and still is 6-10 245 with skills, who can also be replaced by JYD. I think a combination of TT JYD and Ariza over 48 minutes should give decent #s.
Loren woods on any given night can go 0-3 4 rebounds in 30 minutes. With Nazr, you are going to get solid play EVERY night just about. Should Nazr be playing 46 minutes--NO! but I think he can be a very serious piece of the pie

Listen if they want to get rid of Vince--well give them TT. TT is better than Eddie Jones with only 2 years on his contract. the fact that wed be taking on 25 mm in long term salary for a guy who is very injury prone is enough.

i would never get into the sht about trading this guy and that guy just to make a dal for Vince--hes a walking timebomb for an ACL or an achilles tear. Just think back when Penny was so good--he was really cut short at the age of 25! hes never been the same since his injuries. vince is a VERY old 27-28

Get a backup center in a trade. Play Kurt at center. Play Woods at center. Whatever. The upgrade from TT to Vince is too huge to worry about Kurt and Woods at center.
Woods is a 7'1" 26 year old with huge energy plus 7 rbs, 1.1 Blks in 20 minutes a game. He's said that he viewed this year as his last chance and he's played very well. He's the kind of young guy I'd love to get. I don't expect him to be a star, but he can be a nice player off the bench.

It looks like the Craptors don't want TT. They want Nazr, Houston, and JYD. At first they asked for Jamal but I guess Isiah was like hell no. I know many people think Kurt and Sweet will be a good combo, but I don't think so. Also less not forget we also have to take Rose's contract.

Rose is not a bad player. If it wasn't for his contract, no one would mind having him on their team. Why are Knick fans suddenly so concerned about contracts? I thought he wasn't even part of this hypothetical trade you originally posted anyway?

Nope. No way. Who cares, we dont need another bad shot shooter anyway who plays matador D and has legs that are falling apart. Ive been pleased with H2O> I think he can have a very solid end of his career as a sixth man.

nazr can literally put up twice the #'s woods can. i'd really hate to go backwards by starting kt in the middle again.
i see where your coming from w/carter over tt. that's a gimme to me. i'd do that in a heartbeat, but not if we lose nazr w/out PROPER compensation. height ain't jack sometimes as some players have proven. exam....zo/lj/nazr<-putting up solid #'s after fasting in oct.
