TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to Chicago, New York, Phoenix and Minnesota being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. Chicago, New York, Phoenix and Minnesota had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

Talk about it on the Trade Board

We probably would have to send this years first round pick to phoenix but it's worth it because:
Dean Garret
William Avery
Dan Marjerle
Rodney Rogers
John Wallace
Charles Oakley
are all free agents and with a line up like this:
C Charles Oakley
PF Kurt Thomas
SF Shawn Marion
SG Allan Houston
PG Stephon Marbury
and an enormous amount of role players coming off of the bench this years draft pick that we would send to phoenix wouldn't be in the lottery. We actually would end up around or under the cap number for next season, with 6 players leaving us through free agency. I know we still wouldn't have a true center but the future would be brighter with steph and the matrix in town. Let me know what you guys think.

Yeah it is a drawn out trade but it passes the CBA agreement and would help the knicks turn things around.
