Daily News today:

"Honestly, I'm still going to take bad shots," Crawford said. "It's not that I'm defiant or anything. I'm not going to change overnight. I've grown a lot. Now that I look back (at Chicago) I was taking pretty bad shots. But I'll still take them from time to time."

How can you say you will continually take bad shots ...Are you that thick?

Obviously he doesn't understand the NBA GAME YET. RUCKER BALL yes.

RIP got him for 29 and they won, that was playoff basketball folks.

Frankly, I will not blame Crawf for the lost. I think that Lenny is the main culprit. How in the world is he going to allow Rip to kill us? a taller defender should have been on Rip. If there was a time to have our big lineup on the court, last night was that time. Rip is quick and doesn't need much room to get his shots up.

From this day on nobody is gonna trust Jamal at the end of a game against a "VETERAN" team.

He doesn't know what it's like to play in a playoff game atmosphere at MSG, VINCE CARTER DOES.

Are you freaking serious playa? Did you not read the entire quote. He said "I'm not going to change overnight" He is not saying he will never change. This is such bull ****. This entire thread is based on you not reading the freaking quote right!

He even said "I've grown a lot" adding he isnt taking the same number of bad shots he was in Chicago but he still does take some bad shots. He has only been a Knick for 21 games. He does take shoddy shots but for you to misread and entire quote and completely misrepresent it is fu**ing annoying.

Dont compare him to Vince Carter cause he is not Vinage Carter. But please try and make an effort to read the entire quote before you jump to conclusions.

I understood what he said silver, but what do you expect him to say.

There have been chuckers in the league way into their 30's who never saw a shot that wasn't good to them.

Time will tell , but I think this is his trademark... a label he will not break.

Send him to TORONTO and Sam Mitchell will sit his butt down for throwing away statement games.

its a process he need not get it right as long as Allan is viable.

22 games does not indict a career.

Why do you think Bulls gave up on him? He needs work. They (bulls)suck, we have the luxury of developoing his potential.

When there is talk of impatient fans, think of the knee jerk reaction to "TRADE" and take a step back.

How many more excuses will we hear today?

Young players who are good and smart won't continute to go from team to team and do the same thing... unless he isn't that smart

forget about young guys and the mistakes they will make. Lets watch Vince Carter take bad shots, miss them, blame Lenny for being out of touch with todays NBA and then not play the next day because he has a tummy ache.

PUKE PUKE PUKE

playa.. I thought you were better than that. You want to go back to band aid fixes and 30 year old players with no upside? Does Layden have a job yet?

only a Playa would suggest trading a 24 year old with the ability to light up a good team on any given night for Vince Carter a guy you don't even know can stay on the court.

Developing potential is a process! Jamal needs a lot of work, this is certainly not new. Marbs did not become a tenured mature patient point by playing in the olympics! He is still raw and got suckered into a testosterone induced confrontation he could not walk away from. The knicks got menatally schooled last nite.

Great point Nalon , and this is why Phoenix gave up on him.

Luckily they picked up a mature pg in Nash to lead them.

getting Amare (current league MVP) healthy didnt hurt. Getting Richardson didnt hurt. Signing Steven Hunter didnt hurt.

I bet if we got Amare Stoudemire it would quickly make Steph a more mature PG.

after 22 games. PHX did the right thing for its team. Nash is a much better fit for complimenting the Running Amare and Marion. He makes them better. marbs was not the best point for those two.

Phx is even using Lampe effectively.

All the above has little to do with the Knicks. Would you rather have Nash on this team? He would run too fast for our team! Nash is great, I love watching him play. But your giving up after 22 games?

IM not a card carrying Isiah freak, but I root for the moves he makes to be good long term. I do not agree with everything he has done, but since no one is asking me first, I try to understand and go with the flow.

I hope PHX does well, especially Lampe! I root for Dice to do well also. I don't care if they are Isiahs or Laydens guys, if the are Knicks I want them to do well.

If you want to disect Marbs again and again, go ahead!

Jamal did get a couple of blocks in the game which was suprising and he did lead us in scoring.

I'm waiting on zekes next move, this one will tells us if we are trying to win now or later.

win what now? PLEASE answer me this. Are going "win now" with Carter? Is that a "win now" move? And PLEASE... tell me what that wins? Does Vince Carter put us on a par w/ Det, Indy, Mia, Orl, Cle in a 7 game series? Assuming Vince actually dresses and plays (challenge #1 for him).

The fact is that this team is mostly about winning in the future, and a little winning now. That's why we may not be more than some games over .500 after the season and thats why we will likely be as inconsistent as we have been.

What I hate but also find hard to hate is the fact that we are inconsistent because we are young and not yet a complete team. This is good because that means that we have nowhere to go but up. But its bad because as a fan you want them to win now and you see them so close to win some games that its frustrating.

Still, a trade for Carter in which you include Crawford is such a terrible mistake for this team. The biggest hope for the future is Crawford, and dealing him for Carter is so stupid and so Layden! Before we make a win-now trade, we have to do another win-in-the-future trade of bringing here a young star Big. That has yet to happen.

How about this 3 way.

Knicks trade Kurt Thomas, Muhammad
Philly trades Glenn Robinson, Kenny T, Dalembert
Toronto trades Vince Carter, Marshall, Alston

Knicks rec, Marshall, Dalembert
Philly recs Vince Carter, Kurt Thomas , Alston
Toronto recs Glenn Robinson, Muhammad, Kenny T.
