he has at least one block in every game the he played 10 minutes or more. 7' feet 240 needs work but could be just what the doctor ordered. Granted I would prefer someone developed more than him becaus he would be a project, but the upside is crazy. What would it take to get him?

Anyone seen him before? I just saw him play tonight for the first time and he is big and strong. Whadduya think? I think it will be hard to get them to trade anyone they are playing so well.

he was a dissapointment for orlando, but he could be just a case where it takes a young big man a tad longer to develop and Pheonix was smart to sign him. He has played very very well in his back up minutes and you can see what a real good PG can do getting guys better shots. I guess the rule is dont give up on a 7 footer--especially an athletic one until all is truly lost. The Suns signed him for 2 years so hes their property.

I finally got to watch Lamarcus Aldridge[Texas C/PF] play extended minuts last night and came away impressed. he's skinny--perhaps 6-11 215, but hes got some nice talent and his pretty athletic for his size. Need to see more of him against better opponent, but definitely keep on the radar screen

Yeah we sure could use steve hunter, but give pheonix credit, they ve done everything right for their franchise for what seems like 3 years in a row to get into the spot they are now. They need to use their depth a bit more, as to avoid burn out.
They also own the Cicago Bulls pick next year, so they likely will be in position 4-8 as well. Not a bad job. Lampe played pretty good last night, but he is the opposite of the team make up. they are all high flyers and he is a banger and a shooter. Hes going to be good too, Im sure of it.

I have had Hunter on the radar bigtime... especially id we cant parlay Nazr into a sign and trade for a guy like Dalembert.

Briggs... I'm pretty sure Hunter is only on for 1 year

He actually declined 2 years from Atl to go to Pho.

One option would be to use Nazr in a sign and trade for Swift. I think thats a very viable option for Memphis. They get a very good player back in Nazr w/ only a one year commitment. If I could get Hunter with the MLE then I would pursue Swift in such a deal, then use the LLE on Ariza and secure his Bird rights.

Then your frontcourt looks like
sf Ariza 6'8
pf Swift 6'9
c Hunter 7'0

when you put that kind of athleticism around 2 play makers like Craw and Marbs you have something. Plus you still have Houston, KT, JYD in the mix, a draft pick and I'm looking to let TT and Penny walk.

I'm 100% convinced a guy like Hunter would sign with us for a 5 year MLE deal. Especially after watching what playing with Marbs/Craw has done for Nazr.

To tougher sell would be Swift, but that trade makes a lot of sense for Memphis from the $$ standpoint.

we gotta look for a bargain like him, because we still want to use our trading pieces to upgrade elsewhere.
