That's what the Knicks record would be if they learned to put teams away. In all but the 6 games, the knicks had leads or total control until the 2nd half and particularly the 4th quarter.

the last time i checked the game is 48 minutes

is it possible the lack of subbing for the big men tonight caused them to tire and lose the rebound battle by 10+the game?

teams lose over 48 minutes because of many things, but in the end 99% of the time you lost because you deserved to lose.

we played well, but we gave up multiple spurts in the 3-4th Q-- thats a breakdown on the O and rebounding the ball IMHO.

simple question, where was Sweetney?????????????? Stats have shown that when Sweetney plays decent minutes, we normally win. Why didn't our best defender JYD play a little more than the 10 minutes that he was given? Lenny is a sorry decision maker as a coach.

The Knicks are playing like a .500 team, which means that half of the time they close out games well and half of the time they don't. Just like any other .500 team. I can't say I'm shocked.

And if I make that put, don't slice on the 9th hole, that put on the 14 does not lip out, the sand on the 3rd hold was not hard, the greens not to fast, the fairway not to soft, etc etc, I would be Tiger woods! But those things happen because I am not skilled in many facets of the game of golf, and the knicks are not skilled in game management yet. That is not just coaching, but patience and confidence by our very skilled guards. They don't have it yet.

The point, We are not a very good team yet. Hope for better!

Here's another thing. People have been crowing for 3 years about not having any young guys with upside, or about rebuilding, but when a young guy makes bad decisions at the end of games it fire the coach or get Vince Carter.

This is the patience of a youth movement? 20 games? Its nice to watch someone like Nazr blossum as a starter, its nice to watch a guy like Crawford hit game winners... until they fail?

Wake up guys... there's going to be more of this before it goes away. Heck, it might even last all year (it did in Seattle) before these guys get it.

Thats why they are the champs and we arent.. they know how to close games.

Maybe people were happy watching KVH fumble the ball off his foot last year... I dont know.

yup, don't understand why people were calling for crawford's head there.

i was very dissapointed in marbury last night and did have a few questions about lenny's coaching - lack of substitutions or even not calling a timeout at the end there.

but regardless, this team is way better than last year b/c now we're actually expecting to win games like this. but ultimately, we're gonna have to start winning them instead of falling short.

i guess in time.

5 wins in a row would've been awesome, now let's hope for 4 out of 5 with phi and uta coming up.

I have the Knicks at 17 and 5.......either way the Knicks record should be alot better than it is......

They have to get better mentally.
Houston of all people said it best......He said the Knicks are not mature enough. They also forget what works for the team.....

The Knicks are not in trouble but they will be kicking themselves at the end of the season if the playoff race is close.

I'm counting at least 6 games the Knicks could have won but just didn't play well.....whether it was Timmy or just bad decisions by Marbs and Craw.

totally agree. This is why I am still happy, even with losses like Detroits or Washington. Guys other than Marb are taking the last shot and really seeing what it's like. It's a loss, but it's also a stepping stone.

In all my years of watching and playing sports, I've noticed that games are a reflection of the season...if our season goes like most of our games have been going, we will be saying what if after the eastern conference finals...which we will most likely be swept out of...but man oh man...I'm still loving last night's game...it feels like we have a chance at the end of every game...and a chance is all I hoped from Zeke...

We will win atleast 45 games this year....there...I said it!

This is why rebuilding won't work in NY, fans say they wanted it, but they really don't, it requires patience, knowledge and a understanding of the game, some people say they have it, but they don't.... Crawford, marbury, nazr, are all young vets and really green when it comes to winning, they are learning and getting better, the key is are we willing and ready to take this bumpy ride with these guys?

I am, many say they are.... But they are not...

Come on! Thats like saying that Allan Houston must play in one leg or without two knees because he has that big contract. It doesn't matter. Money doesn't translate into performance and we know that very well. Its not about us having that payroll. In fact, we are exactly in the middle of a rebuilding process, only NY style.

NY style? Yeah, the style where you have to pay a lot and have such a big payroll just to have a chance to develope young veterans into a winning tradition. We had a terrible payroll before Isiah arrived and don't tell me they were expected to win just because of that.

The best thing about this season is that you can actually see so much room for improvement in this team! Like someone mentioned here, we seem to be in the game everytime in the final minutes, having a chance. And to have that chance with such a young team that still don't know how to win is priceless. And thats with a team that still needs a couple of pieces to become a very serious contender. The great thing is that when we acquire those pieces, the players we have know will have more experience in playing in close, playoff-like, games, and hopefully will learn from it and be a great team in the future.

Watching this team right now, I can't wait for next season...

Now, does that means that I won't suffer and be a critic if they lose a game, especially like last game? NO!! A fan is always a fan and expects the best for his team no matter what. They could've won that game and it hurts. And that 16-6 would look so great right now, even a 14-8 would...

Still, its about the future... A work in progress, and Im so happy that we are one, and not a group of hopeless veterans...
