This is what I think. TT could not score nor defend well the last few weeks. With TT in the starting lineup our defense and our offense both suffered. Our offense seemed to do better than our defense. Why not plug a defender in place instead of H2O who might not even be ready?

you could do that until Houston is ready but why not just start Houston to start the 1st and 2nd half then play JYD the rest of the time and Houston at the end of the game if we need a basket.

guns: I honestly think Houston should start only at SG. Bench Crawford if you really want to start Houston but playing him at SF will limit his ability to score and cause problems on the defensive end.

team, i have no idea...

and what message is that? to effectively prevent his players from playing to their strengths and try to play the international way instead of making them play our way?

I would like JYD to start for a weak just so we can witness his weaknesses being exposed as a starter. Ruin the chemistry out bench has going for them.

nyknicks.com mailing list has it but it won't be updated if Lenny is benching TT tonight. We'll have to wait for Pre-game

there is more potential of something special happening with H20 starting at SF then with JYD. Right now anything is better than TT so starting JYD would be an upgrade but I don't think it'll make us signicantly better. I believe in playing your best players. Dallas only benches guys like Van exel, Terry, stackhouse, Jamison because they already have an amazing starting 5. The knicks don't

Detroit's start has surprised me. 10-10 from the defending champs. We have to take advantage of this being at home tonight.
I'll be flipping between MSG and ESPN. (ESPN has a better picture, but lack Clyde as an announcer).

yeah the Knicks pitcher is very annoying it is so bright! it's blinding! When you go to the Garden the color of the court and their uni's are different. I wish something could be done so that it would look more like Espn/TNT/Yes. Oh well not a big deal lol

I dont see why you want to play Houston at SF. He can barely defend SG's, asking him to defend SF's and then score on them on the other end is not a good idea. If you want to start Houston, start him at SG and bench Craw. Starting SF doesnt have to be JYD but Houston is not a good option and not the best option either.

Houston won't have to force himself to score against players anymore. We have Steph and Jamal now. Houston will be open a lot more than he was in the layden-chaney era. If it wasn't for his knees he'd be even better!

So what exactly will be Houston's role? Stand on the 3 point line, wait for Craw or Steph to pass it to him? How many shots will he take per game? All these when he is playing out of position against bigger guys?

It's a bad idea to ask Houston to do anything more than jumpshoot. If you want to start Houston, start him as a SG but dont use him as a filler at the SF. Out offense is doing fine right now. Its our defense that needs more help and Houston cannot help that.

our offense isn't that good without H20...with JYD starting it'll only be worse
