i have no problems aquiring carter if we don't give up any bigman.
i don't want jalen rose.

if it's tim + penny for carter - AWESOME
if jalen rose is attached or we have to give up sweets, nazr, or kurt - FORGET IT.

the $$ has to match and Tor doesnt want Houston. Even if its TT+Penny for Rose+Carter I dont want it. Eventually the economics will be a factor and that will hurt us.

Ariza is a hell no. We don't need to give away this young talent. We can give them money and a draft pick along with TT and Penny.

We would need to give up something more than ALL-WORLD Tim Thomas for Vince. BUT. I would only do these 2 trades or I say "NO THANK YOU!"

New York trades: SF Tim Thomas (9.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 1.0 apg in 25.4 minutes)
PF Mike Sweetney (7.7 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 0.5 apg in 16.9 minutes)

New York receives: SF Vince Carter (15.8 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.0 apg in 30.4 minutes)
C Loren Woods (5.3 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 0.5 apg in 20.5 minutes)

Change in team outlook: +4.0 ppg, +2.1 rpg, and +2.0 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

OR this GIGANTIC trade that I think benefits all teams involved

New York trades: SG Anfernee Hardaway (6.6 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.1 apg in 23.7 minutes)
SF Tim Thomas (9.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 1.0 apg in 25.4 minutes)
PF Mike Sweetney (7.7 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 0.5 apg in 16.9 minutes)
New York receives: SF Vince Carter (15.8 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.0 apg in 30.4 minutes)
PF Jerome Moiso (1.8 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 0.0 apg in 8.6 minutes)
Glenn Robinson (No games yet played in 2004/05)
C Samuel Dalembert (5.1 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 0.6 apg in 20.6 minutes)

Change in team outlook: -1.0 ppg, +1.8 rpg, and 0.0 apg.

Toronto trades: SG Jalen Rose (15.1 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.3 apg in 31.4 minutes)
SF Vince Carter (15.8 ppg, 3.3 rpg, 3.0 apg in 30.4 minutes)
PF Jerome Moiso (1.8 ppg, 2.9 rpg, 0.0 apg in 8.6 minutes)
C Loren Woods (5.3 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 0.5 apg in 20.5 minutes)
Toronto receives: SG Anfernee Hardaway (6.6 ppg, 2.8 rpg, 2.1 apg in 23.7 minutes)
SF Tim Thomas (9.4 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 1.0 apg in 25.4 minutes)
PF Mike Sweetney (7.7 ppg, 4.5 rpg, 0.5 apg in 16.9 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -14.3 ppg, -5.6 rpg, and -2.2 apg.

Philadelphia trades: Glenn Robinson (No games yet played in 2004/05)
C Samuel Dalembert (5.1 ppg, 6.3 rpg, 0.6 apg in 20.6 minutes)
Philadelphia receives: SG Jalen Rose (15.1 ppg, 3.4 rpg, 2.3 apg in 31.4 minutes)
C Loren Woods (5.3 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 0.5 apg in 20.5 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +15.3 ppg, +3.8 rpg, and +2.2 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

TORONTO - Gets short HUGE contracts plus a young PF.
SIXERS - They get something for in return for parts they don't want. Rose would be perfect compliment for the short Iverson. Iverson can guard the opposing PG and Rose the SG.
KNICKS - WOOHOO! No more TT. We get Vince and our backup C in Dalembert. We can have BIG DOG come off the bench. This would mean more trades for IT. I can see KT being traded after this trade.

Well, Carter's mind hasn't been in it this year. He's angry he wasn't traded and hates the situation he's in. A lot of that is his own doing and is his fault, but if he's healthy enough to be the 22/5/5 player he was last year, he's not going to have plus/minus #s like that.
Last year, he was +9.4 and Rose was +4.6

How about this stat: Toronto's last 24 games without Vince Carter: 1 win, 23 losses! With him they're about a .500 team. Without him they're not even a .0500 team. But Vince doesn't help teams, right?

sounds like common sense to me. the man may have health issues the past year or two, but that does'nt take away the fact that he's one of the most unstoppable players in the league when healthy.

This is one of the worst trades I ever saw. Great for the knicks but makes no sense to anyone else. This is a pipe dream!!
