props to moochie, he sure isnt a long term answer , but he has played very well on the D and has hit shots. JYD and moochie were unsung heroes last night.

yes definitely have to give coochie his props tonight, and I guess Lenny didnt play h20 in the second half cause of the back to back to save him for tomorrow night

Briggs.. my guess is Lenny was confident that Mooch (who was playing great) and Jamal could finish it out and this was a good opportunity to save some minutes for Marbury and Houston for tomorrow.

Craw looked awful in 4th.

I think Marbs got yanked when he got stripped by Scalabrine and just looked up rather than cover Jefferson. He freakin gave up.

WE won. Ugly finsih for knicks. Nets have no firepower, what is our excuse.

Sweets 5th foul was a joke, but 5 fouls in 9 min not gonna get him starters minutes!

At one point in the third quarter, the game was in jeapordy. Unless they're really worried about Houston, they should have him playing at least one spurt in each half.

Marbury didn't look happy to be on the bench in the closing seconds though.

Lots of props to Lenny for benching Stephon there. This guy gets everything handed to him on a silver platter. How is he suppose to grow that way. He will have learned his lesson to not do foolish things that can costs us games that are tight. What does resting him for the final 20 seconds do for his health?! Mooch was good but he was doing a terrible job in the 4th of running the offense.

Mooch has bad days and good days. Today was a great day. Usually he is OK, as long as he is not out there for longer then 5 min at a time. If he could somehow cut down on dribbling in one place, pick up his D, and stop shootin for nor reason, he could be a servicable backup.

Today he did just that, but to expect him to change his game after so many years in the league now, is a little too much, Mooch is what he is and will continue to be that.

End game player rotation was questinable to say the least, I mean Houston could have easily been out there to hit some ft's. Marbs has been mising ft's laltey in the end of games, and was not shooting them well today. Usually you can tell how he is going to shoot ft's by his frist few, and today he was def off. So I did not mind him seating out the end of the game.

As for playing Houston, eh, it worked out, to the victor go the spoils, this way he is fresh for tommorow, when we will actually need him badly.
A glimmer of hope maybe?!?

I think you hit the nail right in the head. As long as Moochie is in there for no more than 3-5min at a team he's helps us for 6-10min a game. Eventually he starts turning the ball over and forcing bad passes.

I was playing last night, so didn't see the game. But I don't care how well Moochie played. I hate his game. More than even Timmy Genious's. He dribbles away the shot clock, cannot make simple passes, and is terrible when he has to look for his own shot because he's passed up all other options. Maybe his so-called good stretch -- he hasn't shown me anything in any of the games I've seen -- make him tradeable as a salary match throw in. I'd love him off the Knicks. Once H20 starts getting 20 - 30 mins a game, we shouldn't need a fourth guard anyway. Let Craw play some point. Think playing some point would be good for Craw's game. Force him to think pass first at least every once in a while.

what i find great is that even if the opponents were the nets, we could win the game with marb having an offnight.

last yr, that never happened.

Just pick-up in the neighborhood. I'm 41! Haven't played on a real team since high school ... 20 + years ago. Since then, some leagues for fun, but I prefer pick-up, where can get a good 2 hours of run.

I've been trying to find a place to go that's not that far from me......i know where to go in BK but not in Manhatten without having to go to Harlem or a gym filled with young dribble happy speed demons.

Don't like Basketball City by Chelsea Piers? Kind of a pain to get to, but was pretty good ball last time I went (had to be at least 5 years ago). Used to play up at Columbia when I lived in Manhattan. Decent run ... but my wife worked there so I could get into the gym ... and that was also 5 years ago.

I think that's it. When watching the telecast on YES last night, I noticed Steph pointing to his throat before being removed from the game.

This obvioulsy could greatly affect tonight's game, to say the least.

thats why we pay Moochie $3mm. Seriously, Knicks need to learn to play effective ball without Marbury for stretches. That aside you will see him play plenty tonight. He's not Vince Carter.
