``They are way, way better than they were last year. Way better,'' Anthony said

Melo's a good player but he'll be a lot better when he stops forcing those shots and looks to dish more. I loved TT's blocks on him today.

Yeah remember when people were busy arguing about who was better, Melo or Bron? Looks like melo's stock has taken a slight hit this year while Lebron has soared to MVP level.

Melo disappointed me this year. I was hoping that he would be able to separate himself from Lebron and really take over the league in grand fashion, but it looks to me that Lebron and Wade are head and shoulder above of Carmelo so far. His problems with Larry Brown, most of all how he comported himself after the incidents really started the issues that he is going through right now. This kid really needs a role model as a coach to lead him toward the right direction. Denver needs to hurry up and fire Bzdelic before they destroy all of the good qualities that this young star possess. Lebron and Wade are in very good situations right now, with Silas as mentor and Riley/Shaq around to learn from. Who can we say that Carmelo has as mentor? Jordan for sure is doing his part, but Melo needs someone around him 24/7 just like the other guys.

I really feel for Melo, he needs to get rid of all of the bad apples that he has around him before he becomes another Mike Tyson. Kiki needs to take the issues that he is going through seriously.

melo will be a good scorer in this league, that is about it, Lebron seems to enjoy doing the other things and he works at it, scoring will come, as evident by Lebrons 25ppg average, that is the easy part for him, when lebron masters the defensive side of the ball, he will be nasty..

Good to read, but I think he's just trying to make himself feel better about the loss. Would he have said anything if Denver won? I doubt it.

kiki hired michael ray richardson to help out, if that's not a good enough example of what to do and what not to do, then maybe melo needs some time off. and thats being critical. otherwise melo, is growing the nba experience and doing a mighty fine job

The debate used to be "Melo vs Lebron."

Now, the real question is, "Melo vs. Wade." I'd take Wade. I like his attitude more. At around 6'8" 240, Melo might have more upside, though.

And here is what Marcus had to say about us:
"Myself, I wish I was still here," Camby said before the Nuggets' 107-96 loss yesterday at the Garden. "I know Spree wishes he was here. We were New York City type of guys. Our styles, our games fit in well here.

"We have a mutual respect for each other," Camby said of his relationship with Thomas. "If Isiah had been here during the time I got traded, I think I'd still be here."

Nazr is better; KT is healthy; Jamal is on the team; Sweetney is better; Marbury knows the offense and the personnel; Houston is just coming back; TT......

He's right.

Is there a way we could get the Camby-man and/or Spree back?

Doubtful. Spree will prob be available for the MLE next year unless Minnesota extends him (not likely, IMO) but the Knicks would be foolish to use their MLE on another guard. Camby just got an extension, and isn't geting trades unless its part of a blockbuster (as part of a NJ/Kidd trade, for example)Right now they seem to prefer trading Nene.

I have long compared Melo with Bigg Poop Glenn Robinson. And melo has gone to great lenghts to prove his imaturity both on and off the court.

Melo got game, but he really had this complex about being respected last year. Lebron is a freak with his game, and maturity at such an early age. Melo was a rising rocket thru the NCAA's and moving up the draft. He did not have the support or charater base Lebron has. I hve been very impressed with Lebron.

Lebron has UNBELIEVABLE maturity for a 19 year old who was just given $90 mil (from Nike) and is a larger than life superstar. If he stays healthy and the Cavs get a good supporting cast, I think Cleveland going to be an elite team for many years. I think he has the potential to be better than Jordan. He's got the same athleticism and character, but he's also about 2 inches taller and 20 pounds heavier. And he's light years ahead of where Jordan was at the same age.
