the Raptors have made it clear that they would want Jamal Crawford included in any deal for Vince Carter...what do you guys think about this plan:

- Knicks shore up their frontcourt, obtain a superstar player to form a devastating 3 some w/Marbury & Houston that will spread the floor & clear lanes for Nazr, KT & Sweetney to work inside, & they get a NYC baller to backup Marbury in Skip to my Lou.

- this might influence Karl Malone's decision to sign here too, since he'd have a pretty solid shot at a title if he joined this team after that trade. (put Murray on the IR & have Malone backing up KT & Nazr)

No because VC is one brittle b*tch. And in a few years we'll see that JC is a bargain. I say if we can make the deal without JC and Marbury we do it.

But you never know cause Dolan is all about the money and marketing wise having VC would generate TONS of money.

But I think Isiah can get it done without JC.

No way I give up Craw for Vince.

Craw is a big part of this team's future. He has infinate range, some nice ball handling, youth, he has some active hands on defense with defelcting the shots, but most importantly, he is willing to learn how to play better, and has stated he will be trying harder on defense. All he needs to do to be a star is become more consistant, and take a closer look at the shots he should take. You have to love the chemistry he and Marbury have developed.

Carter has given me reasons to question his heart and dedication to his team. If things went bad here, like he didn't like his minutes, or role in the offense, does he go and demand another trade? Vince is no longer half amazing. I believe we have people looking into whether he is even a quarter amazing anymore.

First, I would tell the Hornets that they don't have Vince Carter on their team.

I'd trade Crawford for Vince in 2 seconds if they also included Bosh and their first rounder this year without restrictions.

I'd do it, but it would be like mortgaging our future on the hopes we could make something happen sooner rather than later.

that is a pretty sick starting line up.

thats not bad at all. Its better than what we have now. I would do it, I think it makes us contenders. And don't get me wrong I think Craw is the truth in the making and will be something-he already is, but it is obvious he is all-star bound. I think you also have to figure how the owners will view it, Vince & Steph will put butts in the seats every night. And with Vince not as our #1 option I think he would do well.

hell no I wouldn't trade crawford who's a better fit for our team than Vince when you can get Vince for much less because his stock is so low

It is hard for me to understand how anyone could consider trading Craw for Vince. Are people believing VC is going to turn back the clock and undo damage to his body? Besides his screwed up head and attitude he is major league damaged goods.

You win in this league with super stars.... Vince Carter is just this. He's only 27 years old. Stephon and VC on the same team would be fantastic. As much as I love JC and wish Raptors were stupid enough to take Houston, Tim or Kurt Thomas, Penny whoever... I would trade JC for VC.
