I thought this info on jersey sales was interesting

Shaq, T-Mac Lead Most Popular Jersey List

NEW YORK, Dec. 9, 2004 – Shaquille O’Neal, Tracy McGrady and Stephon Marbury lead the NBA’s list of most popular player jerseys based on sales at the NBA Store on Fifth Avenue in New York City and the NBA Store on NBA.com since the start of the 2004-05 NBA regular season. The New York Knicks, Los Angeles Lakers and Chicago Bulls top the league’s list of most popular team merchandise.
NBA.com will provide fans around the world with the opportunity to select the NBA's best-looking uniform through an exclusive poll on the site. Each day beginning December 9 and continuing through December 14, fans will be able to vote for their favorite uniform in each of the six NBA divisions. I'm guilty of contributing. I bought my Marbury jersey over the summer to replace my Sprewell jersey.
I wear it about as often as I wear my "Fakers #8" jersey.

I love jerseys. The only problem is that they're expensive. I have Marbury's too (and Houston, Ewing, and Starks).

This is based on the sale of Jerseys at the NBA store in NY. I figure most people that go there are Knicks fans.
