I mean I am all about hearing positive things about the Knicks, but the more I listen to them it seems like they are forcing themselves to say good things when they dont even really believe it. Even now with the Knicks vs Hornets they are talking about the outstanding D, when it is really just awful offense. Its upsetting to have announcers who can't say what they really want to say.

Thats a great point, the Knicks defense was terrible last night. They were not boxing out & there were a couple of occasions where TT didn't even put a body on his man, and Nailon got a number of cheap buckets, they were beat down the court

They were very slow, getting around screens, there was a lack of intensity, the Hornets were getting open shots all over the place...

The Hornets are worse than the Bobcats, their best scorer is David Wesley, if they had a couple of players that could make open shots the knicks would have lost....

More **** comes out of Breen's mouth, he must have an earn piece just getting information fed to him....

Awful effort...

LENNY WILKENS NEEDS TO BE FIRED, NO DEFENSE, POOR SHOT SELECTION, AND NO TIMEOUTS.....WAKE UP

I noticed that....it was just awful how the announcers were exaggerating the quality of the D. Shame on the Knicks organization.

last night was bad for Breen... totally lame. The Knicks played better on D but they didnt play well by any stretch. The simple fact was NO couldnt hit a shot, even an open one. You still saw Marbury and Crawford running at the open shooter... the Hornets just couldnt convert.

I'm sorry but that Hornet's team wouldnt make it into the sweet 16. I'm glad we got the win and the game was never close but thats hardly an accomplishment.

I could never watch Net games because Ian Eagle's mouth made the games unwatchable. "Look at Jefferson dunk! He's sooo great."
Now our guy is just as bad.

Exactly what I was thinking after the game ended and Breen said they played outstanding D. I was like wtf! it's the Hornets!! it's very annoying!

i don't know what game you were watching but i saw awesome D and bad offense. Of course there is going to be some times when a person gets by you it happens but overall the D was tight. They made the extra attempts that they did not in other games if you did not notice this i duno if you were really watching the game.

I saw some better D...Ariza really ran out on some guys and some better effort from the rest of the team. Still there were many wide open shots that New Orleans just bricked. Breen and Clyde made it sound like the Knicks were playing great shut down D.

well marv got fired for not glorifying the knicks, so the new announcers probably are just trying to keep management happy.

Clyde was one of the coolest dudes in the coolest of decades! Clyde was larger than life, the quarterback of the great teams. Willis got some accolades over Clyde that was not always deserved. I think it was 1974 or 75 clyde was the MVP of the allstar game. We were just kids, but we were going nuts.

The media then was not what it was now, and clyde did not have to speak all that much. He was cool.

He has worked hard on developing his vast vocabulary, and is good at what he does, but this is not the clyde we grew up worshipping.

Its good he has evolved, and has the intelect to do so. Its kind of like for some of you young guys if Marbs in 25 years becomes co-host of the "morning show" and got all perkey and cute. You remember Marbs as a hard nose player and character. Clyde was this emotionally void leader whom never complained, never yelled, but was just under control all the time kind of cool. His off court manner of man about town and his famous fur coats and Rolls are lengend.

Hearing him now in his present form just shatters that "superfly/shaft" persona he was in his youth.

what I saw was the Hornets miss open shot after open shot. yes the Knicks played better on D, but my god other teams were shooting 50%. We still gave up tons of unconstested shots and a better team would have beaten us.

If we would be honest a lot of postas exaggerte how good the knicks are after we go on a 3 game winning streak(playing at home).


What's the difference???

I thought some posters did the reverse too and made 3 game losing streaks seem like the entire season was a disaster

Yeah, but Clyde was his usual self. When TT played good D, Clyde goes... "See he can play good D when he wants to!"

I like Breen though. The only guy I don't like is Trautwig. He should not be allowed to call the games. He should stick to halftime shows with Starks.

Breen has a thing for KT you would think they are sex partners or something the way Breen prasises KT's play. Breen has an oragasm over the simplest of KT's plays.
