How long is his contract?

Don't know if the contracts match up but that trade seems to be good for all parties involved. Toronto gets a young player with bigtime potential in Chandler. Yeah I know the Chicago press and public treats him like dirt but his ability is undeniable inspite of his inconsistency. Tim and Penny with their soon to be expiring contracts allows them to plan for the immediate future.

Chicago gets a solid center in Nazr and two more than solid scores in Carter and Marshall.

The Knicks get Curry and his potential plus a solid backup in Davis (another Lenny disciple with 1 year also left on his contract - JYD Redux ). Plus (with misgivings) Sweetney should compensate for any lost rebounds with Nazr shipping out. Jalen Rose....well there has to be some reason for Chi-Town and Toronto to deal with us.

I like.

I think Jalen can flourish as a small forward for us, even though his contract is terrible. But if we have Allan Houston contract to deal with for the next few years- why not Jalen's. We get the opportunity to get a potential superstar center in Curry and a tough interior Defender in AD who has 1 yr left on his contract. I'd do the trade- I think it's fair to everyone and it works out on the trade checker.

I'd love that trade, however, why should Toronto do it? They'd pretty much only be getting Chandler. Penny is nothing more than a role player these days, and TT only plays like cares about 4-5 times a season.

Because TT & Penny have 1 yr left on contract and they get rid of Jalen's contract.

I doubt they trade Carter without getting a star player in return.

They would hope that Chandler or Gordon would become stars.

They're not gonna get anything close to a star for Vince. They know that already. He's playing like a mediocre role player (not a star) making max dollars and he has a horrible reputation. They won't get a star for him even if they abandon their plan of attaching Rose to Vince in any deal. If they don't abandon that plan, they'll be lucky just to get two expiring contracts from mediocre players for Vince and Jalen.

Maybe they will have more chances of getting a star with those expiring contracts... Actually, why don't we keep them to get that star us...?

I was thinking that was a great idea, and it is, but are the bulls ready to give up on both its twin towers? While Nazr and Vince are nice, they get smaller. Nazr upside is limited. We like him, but what is his value in the real (outside the kool aid sippers)world?

Kt might work better. Or sweets.

I hate Rose, but sometimes you gotta give.

As I sit here and think about it i'm not exactly sure Chicago is willing to give up both of their big men. I think that they are willing to ditch Curry before Chandler. Chandler seems to have a rep in Chicago of having am excellent work ethic with passion whereas Curry... well you know his rep So the question would be is why would Toronto do this deal if they can't get at the very least Chandler back. Expiring contracts don't seem to work. NY should not have to give up Sweetney because of all of the expriring contracts being given up. I wonder if Toronto would be willing to part ways Araujo to Chicago for Chandler to expedite this three way (don't know if the figures add up).

if trading our guys when their value is at an alltime low is a mistake like some of you have been saying for a while now, why is it that it makes sense for the Raptors to trade their franchise player for non-star players? just a question...i would do that deal in a heartbeat if you could do it since you'd only be taking on 1 extra year in Rose's deal over Penny's, & it would shore up our frontcourt nicely as well...i was just wondering why there seems to be a dual line of thinking when we're considering the trade of our own players as opposed to players on other teams.

your right, it does not make sense. But we don't start the rumors, we just read them.

Raps are holding out, but will have to move on at some point.

The intereseting trade rumors to me surround Kidd. Thorn is smart telling him he the truth. He is getting franchise money and should just play. If he can turn around the team, he might be happy. If not, play well and then we trade you. Otherwise its best to perhaps shelve him and try again in the summer when he can prove he is healthy.

I am sick of these prima donnas wanting the bucks, but not the responsablity of the team on their shoulders. Guys like T-mac, Baron Davis, Carter, and Mourning. I winning is so imortant to Zo, then take a cut in pay dude!

I think Kidd has handled it well thus far.

Getting back to your question, Vince is the one pining to go. The Raps would prefer to integrate him and see if the wins can cure his B.S. If not, at least he has stats.

good trade for Knicks and Bulls... as NYDUNK said, why would Toronto do it? It would be absolutely stupid for them.
