I'm not sure we really NEED him, unless you're going with a 'must win now' mentality, especially seeing he's a 34 yr old C who was forced to retire last season, but if all we would give up is Baker, Sundov, Brewer, and a 2nd...it's hard to argue.

I would do it, I think he has a decent amount left in the tank. The East is wide open right now and with a big fella like Zo it would almost gurantee a playoff spot and a run into the later rounds (barring no unforseen disasters, or TTs bad play spreading like SARS to the rest of the Knicks).

Yeah so Tim Thomas is missing a heart, he starts! UMMM Greg Ostertag gave away his kidney and he just got the same contract as ZO. Its not that he has one kidney, its the need to have the transplanted kidney sustain function. Sean Elliot played 2 years with the same thing.

I agree with Briggs. For the short term, having Zo would be a great idea. But I would only give up the guys he offered for him, but not much more. I dunno if the Nets do that deal though. I am sure there are teams willing to offer more.

Zo for Baker might be doable. I know some Net fans wanted to sign Baker in the off-season

i'm sick of this get zo crap.

why?

was he the reason we lost last night? no he wasn't.

a few wins, not a peep from you.

one loss, back to the same ol' get zo crap.

seriously dude, why?

is zo gonna take us to the finals? no he isn't.
so why bring him in for 3 more years, and i don't care if it's only 8mil, when he can drop dead in 3 more days.

why don't you start something like a GET GADZURIC post? b/c i'd much rather have him than zo.

This is much more reasonable. Earlier Briggs offered Sweetney for Zo, which would have really set back our franchise.

Zo helps us bigtime. We have an OK team and should get a lot of wins against bad teams but we will struggle all year against bigger tougher teams teams. We got beat on the boards late in the game last night and we have little or no toughness inside. If Zo is attainable in a $$ deal only its no brainer for us. Baker+Mocchie+cash+2ndrounder is a no brainer.

Agreed. Any deal where we don't give up a player who's part of our rotation and don't give up a 1st rd pick is a no brainer.

That would be a great move. Zo, Nazr, Kurt and Sweets means we have decent play and good depth up front. But does anyone have reason to believe that the Nets are looking to get rid of Zo? Why would they rather have Baker and Moochie?

I know who would help us a lot with this zone. Lets see, to get Allan Houston we must trade.... wait a minute, we have him! We just have to pray that he will finally make a great comeback in the next games. God bless him and make him stay healthy! He will be our blessing.

And please give a new heart to Baker too because with all that hype he should've been playing significant minutes already!

What does any of that have to do with Zo? Regardless of Houston, we need a tough PF/C who can block shots. A *healthy* Zo makes the Knicks an elite team.

I know it has nothing to do with Zo, but it do has to do with the big problem NY is having with the zone. Really, we don't need to make an emergency trade like that one for Zo. Some of you hate Houston because he didn't suit up last playoffs and at the start of this season. What will happen if Zo has to AGAIN call it quits and leave us with his contract. The last thing we need is another player not playing but earning big money from us. I prefere to stay put or sign a free agent with nothing to lose. A healthy Zo would help us, but a retired one will not. In the begining of the season when Nazr was terrible, if you wanted to win now, ok, make the deal if you wish, take the risk. But we don't need to do it to win now. The best thing Isiah can have now is patience, because down the road, a young big man will be avaliable and he could come up with him.

Get Allan healthy! Get this team together and see them grow! Even get Baker moving because he is doing nothing! Don't make more trades than you need to. And i said NEED TO...

Dalembert, Brown, and maybe even Curry could also make this team an elite, and maybe for even more years...
