MJ is still an iconic brand and was seen as a draw. My guess is his present persona is not charasmiatic as his legend? I think there was a demand after the documentary where he talked mostly about himself. It was a show about him so it was great. In the present situation was he asked to talk about current teams/players/news and have a take?
So the thread is about:1. NBC thinking they had a ratings draw.
2. Jordan thinking he could be a personality.
3. Or Fair weather fans frm 25 years ago who did not vote for jordan after his play declined some as a starter and make up the huge portion of the current NBC viewing population according to your comment.
So I ask, and trying to be respectful here: what is the relevent link between the third choice you no doubt thought was a good thing to share and the reason NBA and Jordan did not work well?
I truly am sorry I discussed Michael Jordan in a thread you started about Michael Jordan. Yes he gets no ratings as a broadcaster which is what you started the thread about and perhaps discussing his declining popularity since his second retirement may be relevant but I’ll let you go down your bipolar rabbit hole.
BURN!
Nice try......
Jordan documentary was a ratings blockbuster.
Your referenced "fair weather fans". You had a opporuntiy to discuss.
Jordan declining popularity? No ****, he don't play anymore, but he is talked about often, and his brand sells 60 million pairs of Nike ANNUALLY.
About 7 billion worth gross sales. Makes a quarter of a billion annually just from Nike sales.
This is how many years since he retired?
What we do here? We discuss things. If your gonna get all cute and try to add humor and it don't work then your gonna get comments. If you let it go, its gone. Keep defending it, well then your words speak for themselves.
If this is "bipolar" in your book, not much I can do for you.
Bipolar disorder is a mental health condition that causes extreme shifts in mood, energy, and activity levels
