My wife's been playing around with the idea of a Knicks mascot that has a basketball for a head, a la Mr. Met. Here are some of her drawings:

This letcherous character looks like Dolan after a weekend at Jeffrey Espstiens island but before his wife divorced as if he was even tolerable.
Ok, thats not entirly fair. The Old mascott looks like self made Dutchmam who has some literary knowledge where Dolan and his fake ass teeth looks like the entitled aloholic son of a very substancial man who did not spend enough time with the child. I can see how he is friends with Trump. They have much in common.

The old knickabocker mascot is no doubt very dated and too complicated graphically to make sense. Its neither funny or invokes any type of interest other than nostalgia.
The knicks play in an iconic arena and being an orginal 6 franchise who banks on tradition for its image in my opinion any mascot should continue to bridge the past with the present.
