I think it makes sense for all involved.

New York trades: PF Jerome Williams (4.8 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 0.3 apg in 13.5 minutes)
C Kurt Thomas (11.4 ppg, 10.7 rpg, 1.4 apg in 36.0 minutes)
PF Vin Baker (0.7 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 0.0 apg in 7.0 minutes)
PF Mike Sweetney (7.9 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 0.6 apg in 17.1 minutes)
New York receives: PF Antonio Davis (5.5 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 0.9 apg in 22.3 minutes)
C Eddy Curry (14.1 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 0.8 apg in 29.0 minutes)
SF Luol Deng (15.2 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.7 apg in 29.4 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +10.0 ppg, -2.7 rpg, and +1.1 apg.

Chicago trades: PF Antonio Davis (5.5 ppg, 4.7 rpg, 0.9 apg in 22.3 minutes)
C Eddy Curry (14.1 ppg, 6.9 rpg, 0.8 apg in 29.0 minutes)
SG Eric Piatkowski (6.4 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 1.2 apg in 16.6 minutes)
SF Luol Deng (15.2 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 1.7 apg in 29.4 minutes)
Chicago receives: PF Vin Baker (0.7 ppg, 1.8 rpg, 0.0 apg in 7.0 minutes)
PF Mike Sweetney (7.9 ppg, 4.3 rpg, 0.6 apg in 17.1 minutes)
SF Wally Szczerbiak (14.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 1.7 apg in 31.1 minutes)
C Ervin Johnson (1.4 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 0.0 apg in 8.1 minutes)
Change in team outlook: -17.2 ppg, -5.6 rpg, and -2.3 apg.

Minnesota trades: SF Wally Szczerbiak (14.0 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 1.7 apg in 31.1 minutes)
C Ervin Johnson (1.4 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 0.0 apg in 8.1 minutes)
Minnesota receives: PF Jerome Williams (4.8 ppg, 3.1 rpg, 0.3 apg in 13.5 minutes)
C Kurt Thomas (11.4 ppg, 10.7 rpg, 1.4 apg in 36.0 minutes)
SG Eric Piatkowski (6.4 ppg, 1.1 rpg, 1.2 apg in 16.6 minutes)
Change in team outlook: +7.2 ppg, +8.3 rpg, and +1.2 apg.

TRADE ACCEPTED

Due to New York, Chicago, and Minnesota being over the cap, the 15% trade rule is invoked. New York, Chicago, and Minnesota had to be no more than 115% plus $100,000 of the salary given out for the trade to be accepted, which did happen here. This trade satisfies the provisions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.

We get 2 great young players in Curry and Deng. This might stunt Arizas growth, but I'm sure you'll all agree that Deng is better than him, even though we all love him. Our big loss here is JYD's hustle, but we get a banger in AD (anyone really worried about that, we can add Madsen to NY and it still works).

Minny get KT, who they need, plus a shooter to cover for Spree, and a great hustle player in JYD. Johnsons hardly played this year anyway.

Chicago get rid of Curry, pick up Sweets, get an ex all-star in Wally World, PLUS they get a big expiring C in Johnson.

Everyones happy.

The only reason I think this will never happen, is that none of the teams involved will ever think about it.

Whadaya think?
Some men see things as they are and ask why. I dream things that never were and ask why not?

It will be "the biggest trade ever" that never happened.

Not bad, though.

I don't really like this trade, but then again, I have't seen Deng play yet. Personally, I would rather keep Sweetney over Curry, Kurt over Davis, and as I just said, I haven't seen Deng but I really like JYD. I'll see if my oppinion differs any after we play the Bulls

For starters, Chicago won't trade Deng. They finally got a first round pick right. They aren't going to trade him away.
