I thought the same thing, but then I looked at some of the teams above us, they're all playing pretty well. You can make an arguement for the Knicks to be above one or two of them, but it would be a pretty weak arguement. We just have to stay consistant.

I wouldn't put Denver, Portland, or Washington ahead of the Knicks. Same with the Clippers considering that the Knicks crushed them when they played. It may be hard for some Knick fans to believe this, but we actually DO have a good team finally.

There's no question that the Knicks are better than several of the teams ahead of them (such as Washington, Clippers, and Portland), but the Power Rankings are about whose playing well right now (which does raise the question as to why the Pistons are #10), and right now, several teams appear to be playing well for a longer stretch. Don't worry, the Knicks will be getting up there soon enough.

Power Rankings are about whose playing well right now
Is that the official policy of the rankings or is that just your interpretation? Either way, the Knicks are playing very well now (5 wins in the last 6 games). So, I don't see why they'd be ranked 17. I'm glad the standings determine the playoff seeds and not dumb sports journalists.
