All things considered, it’s Cade. Age, size for position, 2-way impact. All of that. He could legit be the best player in the league alongside Wemby in 2-3 years.

LaMelo Ball probably right now. He’s starting to prove that with talent around him he can win and he’s also exciting to watch. We’ll have to see how that translates into playoff basketball.

Cade is easy to build around

Though I dislike him, the next one would be Shai

Steph in his prime would be # 1

Brunson's falling down the charts this season because he often lacks the innate discretion to get his teammates going when needed.

He shouldn't need to have a coach breathing down his neck to read the room.

Not sure why anyone would dislike Cade. Legit two way player with positional size and very good (great?) metrics. His 3pt is a little low for a guard. That’s the worst I can come up with.

Agreed. This guy can score AND keep his teammates involved. I think he's great from what I've seen.

I would suggest you look at how many games he has missed to to injury. Granted, Steph Curry had some bad stretches very early with ankle issues so one might consider that LaMelo might fill out and become stronger as did Steph.
Not sure the talent mitches up. No doubt LaMelo is benefitting from a better team this year and perhaps having seen they have been trying to trade him his "come to jesus" moment perhaps dawned on him that arrogant natural talent might need be enhanced to push his career up after a really nice start?

To build on a fragile player is why I give doubt. If you ever listened to him interviewd one might pause to give him the keys to the rest room let alone the keys to the franchise.

Its a nice "out of the box" suggestion though.

Me? MVP at 27 years old I give those keys to SGA. While no doubt a knick super villian Haliburton has been. Impressive but injuries have inhibited his time over the years.
Cade is also a very good choice these days. Maxey should be on the list as well as primary guard.

Knicks made a great free agent pick in Brunson who has been a big part of the knicks elevation to contention!

Is he perfect? only until he has a chip to his name which will put him in the HOF having won at every level (except international competitions).

SGA go at 27 years old with MVP and a chip is that guy. Cade is on the rise.

Gone are Trae Young and Jah Morant. To start the seaon there was another on that "Hard to trade" list of PG's. not getting it done. That was Lamelo.

You probably would have to say SGA right now.

Without taking into account age I took Steph. If you build correctly around him the amount of attention teams give him you can easily make a top level team.

I chose D. Mitchell. Always been a fan. Dude is amazing.....but Cade is becoming something else.

Of course, SGA is so smooth and I love how Brown was able to find another level this year. Surprised you added Tatum but not Edwards.
Lots of great guards to choose from regardless
