Based on what Rose and Co. have done in the past I think he will look to within the Knicks organization and convert a deserving 2 way player or maybe even give Dink an NBA deal to lock him in. Converting a 2 way the McCuller would make him playoff eligible. He has been a good stand in when we are undermanned so could be a good insurance policy.

My top 2 options-

1) Convert McCullar's two way. McCullar has NBA skills can play situational defense. He could help in a playoff game. THen you can give Dink the open 2way if you like him. I'm honestly not worried about Dink though, he should go to college.

2) Sign Chris Boucher. He's OG's best friend, apparently they talk every day. He's 6'9 with length, can block some shots and can score. Adds something in the event we get short on bigs/KAT gets in foul trouble. Also adds a lengthy defender in the right matchup.

You know what, I think this will happen. I forgot that 2 way players can't do playoffs and are limited to 50 regular season games. McCullar is at ~15/50 games right now with 31 games left.

McCullar is a very good player.

He should be on the playoff roster if they have any sense at all

I am in the Boucher camp. Positional need is the first reason. There was a lot of smoke around Boucher last trade deadline. I don't think McCullar is a playoff rotation player anyway - yet.

Boucher's role was limited in Boston as Hugo has gotten those minutes. But I think you get another high energy player at 6'9 with a 7'4 wingspan that would look good next to Robinson, GTA and if Deuce is back by playoffs, one of Deuce or Hart. Just kind of fits better since they should still have RFA control over McCullar next year. Creates more contract rights with him.

Boucher looks like a slightly better version of Precious and since we traded Yabu we could use his length and similar shooting skills...

I don’t know about you guys, but I’d rather we take this opportunity and get someone to play the 4/5. Boucher can shot the three and plays good defense so why not him?

I agree that Boucher sounds like a really good option for us at a position/role of need.

We all know we have too many guards. We all know that we need an Oakley/ Mason enforcer. When Boucher was in his prime he was laughingly a decent high pick in H2H MAYBE 4 years ago.Dont know what kind of shape hes in or the injuries but we cant keeo taking 6ft 4inch guards.

Boucher might allow them to play Waterboy clips. Timeless comedy.

PF/C. Boucher seems like a good fit. I don’t think it’s smart to throw a washed up vet in front of Mo D right now.

I’d 100% offer Sochan a contract and immediately start calling him BigHart.

Sochan seems like the natural fit here.
