Read that even prior to the NBA cup knicks had issues but "Winning" covered it up.
I don't know how this all ends up but reading books by coaches by the likes of Riles and Phil, and many others talk about how they got over bad stretches. Sometimes you can see it coming, sometimes its individual play, and sometimes its personalities. Hell, even old episodes of "The White Shadow" had **** like that! LOL......
If this team had issues and coaching cannot correct it if a team is mature, talented, and set in its ways perhaps there is little to be done until the players themselves are motivated to make change. Not unlike most things in life.
Im not saying Brown let them lose on purpose to prove a point, but if you can't get the sense of urgency message until it boils over then maybe there is some buy in needed and pain is has to occur?
Great teams solve and adjust on their own. Thibs the task master is not that kind of leader. They eventually tired of his voice. Knicks after 42 games should not be even close to this nor is Brown that kind of coach. Larry Brown was a relentless task master. PHil Jax did not do much coaching during a game. Not saying he did nothing, but the great ones know what to do. I don't know if Brown was like "Fuck it, when they are ready they will figure it out and adjust". "Do your ****ing job" was something that I translated as "Be professional" which infers they got work to do themselves.
Won't know for sometime if this is what occurred?
Knicks be makinig talking show rounds two weeks ago and accolades showering praise. Did it get to some players heads?
Team ball is "Less is more". LOoks like Kat vs Nets was contained and OG took less shots and did not force much.
Vs Nets? LOL, yeah, that was a scrimmage to get their **** back. Largest blow out win in knicks history!
Good test coming up vs. 76ers this weekend. I assume or friend Embiid is playing?
Good teams go thru bad stretches and can eiher go sidways or become great and reach new heights. We'll see!
