Tougher for sure, but team is rounding out.
Clev is baffling but as always im not talking **** until they are eliminated at seasons end.
They have the talent. Garland injury is an issue and mobley hurt puts them noplace until he is back.
Spida got his bag and I doubt they do anything until off season. Was last years 64 win team the anomoly? Might be.
Its a curious situation.

Fact is outside of NY-Detroit is impressive. Toronto without RJ really dropped back.

Reality is Knicks won the cup playing against not so great teams but did beat a very very good SAS. They got hot at the right time!
Thus I am not super hypted about our team just yet but...........

We have a nice window this year to come out of the east! That said Leon and Company might do something interesting to elevate our depth.

Good win total. Four bad losses. And wins against mostly struggling and injured teams. Some by the skin of our teeth.

Glad we won the cup, and beat Cleveland.

Let's not forget that a bunch of young players played key roles during these wins. Means there is sooo much room for improvement. Even this season into the playoffs type of improvement

The more time goes by the more obvious it seems replacing Thibs with Brown was the right move. Thibs would not only be burning out our starters again he wouldn’t be giving all these young players a chance to contribute and develop.

Thibs did it, to a degree. He developed some player, slowly and usually that development was 45 secs at the end of the game. Brown development that to a whole new level. It's not even comparable

I know the sky is falling but I’m really not all that concerned. They will obviously figure it out to some degree. And if this group isn’t it than they move on from KAT in the summer and make the necessary changes. It’s a process and each season is full of ups and downs.

You sound young. Or senile. Either way, congrats!

I think not being too reactionary and always being grounded is always a positive. I’ve been on this forum since day 1. Trust me this is nothing.

One bad or good month doesn't make a season.

This team has been together for a while now and the trends that keep repeating are telling if you dare to open your eyes:

The defense has never clicked since they lost Isiah Hartenstein. It seems like the last bit of it was running on the spirit of Thibs, because we are running on empty of it. This isn’t a bad stretch, as even our best moments from the last two seasons included poor D.

Effort has been a question mark on this team for a while now. Scrappy was replaced with finesse, and so far they are failing on this, to the point that everyone asks what’s this team’s identity.

It was supposed to be an offensive team, but the offense is already broken. KAT is spiraling out of control, Mikal is Mr. Consistently Vanishing Man and O.G. “Gimme da money” Anunoby is as inconsistent as ever.

The bench is back to being nothing, the kids have either regressed or simply vanished.

Does this team have another good streak in them? Probably, because they have Brunson and opposing teams sometimes suck enough, but Mike Brown, who seems to have added nothing to this team so far, asked at the start of this mess what kind of team would they prove to be against adversity. They are kind enough to let us know this early that they are the same pretenders they were last year. Maybe even worse.

We need to retire the Timberlands and institute this post-game.

Not arguing with this at all. I still like Mikal and OGs fits. Just can’t expect more from them than what they have always been. Whatever the issue with KAT/ brown is, front office needs to figure it out now and decide on a direction while they are still 7 games over .500.
