Im not ready to give Brown the crown just yet and sometmes its what others do themselves but....
Im super impressed with how this team is transforming. Nobody knows the ceiling. We know OKC has its ceiling and its still expanding given its yoot. Chet was far from being 100% in last years finals run and is far more mobile this year. They have another year.

SAS is not a lot quite yet. Vassell and Fox are very good. Castle and Harper are talented but young. I like our Trio of mature demons to handle them. Wemby? That dude is fragile and far from finished but the key for us is to get on in before he is fully formed. Ain't no KAT or Freak that will contain him when that happens.

Best hope is West beats each other up while knicks distant themselves and get thru playoffs easy and healthy. Its tall order!!!!

As for Brown? Mikal is killing it, Brunson is still great but more effective, OG and Deuce are a notch above previous levels, and Josh is doing his thing and his playmaking/passing is as good or better than previous. The ball movement is tremendous!!!

Mike Brown seems to have taken the best of Thibs had at times but making it more consistant?
Kat had a great year last season and my hope is this new found defense and Chill toward the refs is taking hold and also elevating his game. Its a short sample, maybe just the last two weeks did something kind of click? We'll see.

Kudo's to Leon and Dolan for having the balls to make that tough decision to move on from Thibs after a great 5 year run for him.

The Knicks are playing more efficient, team-focused basketball. Offense (120.2→121.8) and defense (113.7→113.2) both improved, boosting their net rating to 8.6. They’re taking more threes, especially corner and catch-and-shoot, getting more free throws, passing and driving more, and scoring more off handoffs. With ISO down (7.3%→5.8%), the offense is cleaner, quicker, and less predictable.

I don't think Id have any complaints on how this season has gone.

I'm trying to think of a scenario where he maybe could have played some of the youth more but really it's just not the case and Kolek has gotten exactly the minutes he has earned.

Wish Mitch was healthier to play more but I get where the Knicks are with him.

Yabu, Clarkson have been underwhelming in their own way but at least Clarkson has had some productive minutes, Yabu seems to be his own problem at this point.

I think Mike Brown has done enough such that I'd hold off on any Giannis pursuit until after I've seen a whole season.

Oh yes, big Kudos to Leon and Dolan. That took some balls to move on from Thibs but it was 100% the right choice

He is doing a good job. He's justifying the change so far. I think what I like about him is how great of a communicator he is. I think he is flexible and is leaning into the team's well established strengths, while also giving us some more modern principles/better offensive principles. While there has been a role adjustment for some, there are some players (Mikal for one) that are operating with more confidence as they seem to understand better where they fit.

Defense is still coming together. It doesn't look good all the time, but the results are relatively good.

Brown vs Thibadaeu, I was thinking and a good comparison I can make is when the Yankees fired Buck Showalter and hired Torre. Showalter was intense and super knowledgeable but rubbed some players the wrong way. Torre was more of unknown than Brown but they have the same calming influence on the players.
fishmike 9/27/2024 11:00 PM Ug I hate this. The idea of Towns is great until you see what a pussy he is. Jules is a dog. DD was a flamethrower locked up cheap for 3 more years. First Leon move I hate

culture creator vs. player's coach. Culture is set. Now it's up to the guys on the floor
