Yea the guy has won two games for us with last second shots, and we are all pleased that he can make them when the game is on the line, but he is the biggest reason the game was on the line.....

The guys mentality is a get mine approach, so what he had six assists, he was launching bad shot after bad shot went 7-28, and was not looking for teammates taking fadeaways nearly every play....

I like the flavor and the confidence in his game, but lets not praise someone who has been great 50% of the time and equally as bad the other...

He needs to work out how to be a better team player otherwise this team is not going to win the way it should....Lets not forget we were in Atlanta and gave up 109 points to the Hawks....

Hey at least we got a win

Crawford was missing at a time when every Knick was missing. Being that he is the SG, his poor performance was magnified. When he is open, he has to shoot regardless. He took some bad shots, yes. But so did Penny, and Marbs had some questionable ones as well. What you feel to mention is how Atlanta was running the zone which forced Crawford to shoot more from the perimeter. When Houston gets back, then the Zone shouldn't be a problem, and Crawford won't take any bad shots.

Your argument is valid, but you still have to cut this guy some slack.

Off topic;

I think the Knicks will be a better team playing Marbs, Houston and Crawford at the same time (even though I know they shouldn't do this). The Zone has been teams only reason to keep Marbs and Craw out of the paint. But with Houston in, all hell breaks loose.

Crawford is always going to take bad shots not matter who is on the team, he is very rough, and like everyone says he shoots bad shots well

one thing though, if he doesn't take and miss those shots, who will take them ?

look, last year in the playoffs, nobody could even launch a shot, nobody even dared to take one so, im happy to have a guy like him right now.

YET, when houston will be back, sweet will be healed, TT traded or kidnapped (we could do that by ourselves ya know), I hope he won't keep on shooting the worst way.

Ohh can we talk about how the bonehead almost lost the game by knocking Barry into the scorers table on a halfcourt fadeaway three, he needs to use his head out there

Would Allan Houston ever get that kind of slack if he shot 7-28.

It's not the 28 shots I had a problem with. It's the type of shots he was taking. When you are open shoot it even if you are off. But if someone is guarding you, take it to the hoop.

Crawford has about an 18 month period where he can either gradually learn to improve his shot selection (and it will be gradual) or become permanently stuck with the "chucker" label. Right now, he is definitely a chucker (with a ton of potential to be a great player if he makes some changes)

agreed...Crawford needs to be alot smarter w/his shot selection...when he's not hitting his jumpers, he needs to take it to the hole & make things happen by getting to the line or dishing off to open teammates off his penetration.

Yeah he has the ability and quickness to get to the hoop. He is twice the athlete Allan is yet people are fine with him shooting jumpers and going to the line so rarely. I like him, I love his confidence but if I dont cut Allan Houston slack I certainly can't cut slack for a younger quicker player

Craw is a chucker. That seems indisputable. Not sure that he's a selfish, I got to get mine-type player though.

I think he's team first, but just a little too confident in his ability to hit tough shots. He does hit a lot of them. I think Lenny/Isaih/Marbs/whoever will get into his head eventually and teach him the difference between a good shot and a bad one, because I think he wants to learn and to help the team (and himself) get better.

Maybe I'm getting snowed, but when you listen to Craw talk, he says the right things and seems sincere and thoughtful. Strikes me as too smart to be unable to learn.

I'm not siding with JC, but the Zone Defense nullified any slashing to the basket, and the pick and roll was to far out( top of the key).

You keep shooting until you make them, and your opponent scratchs the zone. JC is not a bright player, he a talanted one, believe me theres a difference. He's not going to turn into a bright player until he has to.

If crawford wasn't bright enough to go to school for Michigan Wolverines, I could see him and the Professor(And 1 mix tapes) battling in Seattle where they are from just to get on tour.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

what is Crawford's role right now? He's a total chucker, but isnt that what most 2 guards are? He does make plays, gets steals, does a decent job pressuring the ball handler on D. He's 24 and came from the worst team in the league. He's playing how he knows how to play, and he's doing a good job scoring while Allan Houston is out and TT is nursing his broken vagina. Last night a cold Jamal was the best option we had aside from Marbury who was having a monster game.

MS... one other thing. This is what happens with young guys. They have bad habits. But they also have tremendous upside. You dont think Crawford looks for his teammates? He's doing what he's asked to do.

Bright enough to go to college? What comic book are we reading now?

Wfan just ran a clip of Jamal saying he was told by the coaches to just keep shooting if you're open. Everyone was really bailed out on that last shot!

Keep shooting? Yes, definitely. Keep firing up low-percentage shots? No. There is a difference.

this game should've been an easy win had it not been for Jamal. If Jamal was handling the ball and passes it to Marbury instead of the other way around we would've won easily.
